Sexlab scenes cause physics issues with in-world objects

Odd thing that happens on every new save I try, any sexlab scene between npc actors cause the physics in the space to get weird. Objects on counters will slowly float off in one direction, objects with physics will distort and stretch into oblivion (like how a body slide error will cause the chest to stretch into the ground) I don’t know what causes it but any help is appreciated, as I haven’t found anyone yet who has any theories.

Happens to me sometimes. All items will slowly go to the other side of the house.

"No idea what's causing it though"

I have used this mod for a long time. A life saver really. Havok physics have a habbit of exploding or doing weird things.

Alternative solution is to exit the game and start it again. Restarts solve many things in Skyrim.

Funny you suggested that mod, cause I use a similar one, shown in the clip. Using a broom “sweeps” the room back to its original state. Sadly the objects just slide right back off, almost like a permanent “force push” is in affect. I’ll give quitting and restarting a try, but glad to know I’m not the only one.

Quit/Restart first. Then use the mod to sweep/clean up.

That's how I fixed Gerdur's house after our spicy encounter.

Maybe You have to make a new save. Doubt it though.

Have you had this issue happen to you too? Been seeing if anyone had something similar and figured why a sexlab scene will muck the physics up in a given space

(off the top of my head)

The exploding clutter can be caused by FPS - IIRC cap FPS at 60 to stop it.

The stretching can be caused by the wrong skeleton.

Too much SMP or CBPC action can cause problems too. A room full of people with hair and clothes physics can be a problem.

So what body and physics are you using?

Stretching can also be down to meshes.

This was caused by either the eyes mesh or the brows mesh (can't remember which). Changed the eyes or brows mesh and problem went away.

The problem only manifested at a certain range.

First image and no problem. A few paces closer and boom.

So the stretching only came from, weirdly enough, the hanging rabbits and pheasants that dangle from those metal chandeliers (per the pick) it’s weird since that “stretch into oblivion” normally only happens with PC/NPC bodies with physics, but I’ve never seen it on vanilla objects (I guess they have collision and physics in vanilla as bumping into the hanging animals makes them move)

I’ll give the fps cap a try, currently have it at 61, and I vaguely remember if FSMP had a fomod option fps/physics options, I’ll see that too.

Afraid 60fps cap didn’t solve it.

hanging rabbits

If you got some of this interior replacers, they have poor physics, cause lots of problems up to not being able to enter the cell.

Tried it once and sent them to Oblivion after testing.

I can fix my problem with one button click. No problem.

Why would I investigate an engine problem that happens one time in 100 ingame hours when I can fix it in 15 seconds.

What's your problem with me?? - You have answered several of my posts with negative responses.

I don't have a problem with you. I neither know nor care who you are. That post wasn't even directed at you. Perhaps the other negative responses were due to whatever you wrote.

The mod you linked to does not 'fix the problem'. All it does is replace all the clutter which has been thrown around so it is not a solution.

I don't have to click once as I have my game set up so the problem does not occur. If I have a leaking pipe I fix the leak; I do not just stick a bucket under the leak.

Nah just seems like the general tone You use with people here on LoversLab. Been to the Nexus a lot??

With all the problems that can happen on a modded Skyrim this was certainly not the worst for me. Congrats to You for finding the Holy Grail.

Nope!!

An example from my old LE Skyrim

The clutter explosion on entering the Bannered Mare was the best I've ever seen - it was like a blizzard.

It took me a few exits of the Mare before I spotted this outside

That is a follower. The author had obviously meant to change her height to 0.99 but had not put the decimal point in the correct place so she was 99.00

I fixed the problem so there was no need for a button click every time I entered the Mare.

FSMP (Faster SMP) is a mod exclusive to SE/AE as it is a SKSE64 plugin.  This is the technical support forum for Skyrim/LE, not SE/AE.  Are you sure you posted this in the right place?  If your issue is tied to FSMP then you’re more likely to get help if you ask a moderator to move this thread to the correct forum.  Skyrim/LE users aren’t as likely to know about the various issues that may be specific to FSMP and its configuration if that is in fact contributing to the issue you’re experiencing.

Instead of re-posting the thread you can report your first post and choose “Move Request/Wrong Category.”  That way you don’t lose the comments and information already provided by you and others.
