Sink of Scrubbing - SexLab Integration

View File

Sink of Scrubbing is a tremendous little mod that makes wash basins interactive. This mod integrates it with SexLab to clean cum.

Sink of Scrubbing already supports cleaning off the dirt and grime you can accumulate from mods like Dirt & Blood and Keep it Clean. With this mod installed it will also clean off cum from SexLab, and grime from Bathing in Skyrim - Renewed

Sink of Scrubbing can also optionally show the race menu popup so that you can adjust your characters hair and so forth. This mod slightly alters Sink of Scrubbing to use the "limited" Race Menu that the Face Sculptor uses. This patches a small bug. If a mod triggers the full new game race menu, then Skyrim creates a new profile in your save folder. When you go back to load a save you have to jump through extra hoops to find your full list of saves from all profiles, because Skyrim thinks you started a new character. Using the "limited" race menu patches that.

If there are not enough wash basins for your liking, you can place new ones with the console. Stand where you want it to go, then type PlaceAtMe SoS_Washbasin

Install/Uninstall

Install this like you would any other mod.

If you wish to hide the Sink of Scrubbing message popup that tells you how refreshed you feel, then also install the NoMsgAddon and have it override the base mod. Purely personal preference. Some roleplay motivations might not align with that messages text.

This is as safe as any script can be to uninstall. To uninstall disable this mod in your mod manager.

Requirements

Optional Integrations

  • Legacy of the Dragonborn The _SWAP.ini included with this will swap out the basin in LotD's player home with an interactive variant. If you have LotD installed this integration will kick in.

YESSSSS

I have wanted something like this for so long

Sick of having to look for a deep enough body of water while in the middle of a city surrounded by water sources I could very realistically use

And yeah, I know I can just reduce the timer, but that's not as realistic

A lot of people use the bathing in skyrim with monoman tweak, would be cool if the script allowed integration with that too unlike the original.

@sirgilly I appreciate the feedback. Perhaps jakequery the author of Sink of Scrubbing would be interested. Personally I am not interested in Bathing in Skyrim. While I am not an expert on that mod, from what I have seen it is just an older less performant version of Dirt & Blood. The fact that it has an NPC tracker sends up some alarm bells in my mind. That is a strong signal of when and how the code was written. 10 years later there are a lot more performant frameworks that enable better ways of doing things. 🙂Nothing against the mod or the authors work. If he wrote it now he'd probably make something a lot like Dirt & Blood.

I'm thinking that i should give up on Bathing in Skyrim in favor of one of the newer dirt frameworks, however I was wondering if you or anyone knows if there are any mods that hook Dirt & Blood or Keep it Clean into sexlab to apply dirtiness through sex, etc?  thank you!

@Gudulba I am glad you brought the new version to my attention. I had not seen it yet.

Updated this mod to fully support v1.5 of Sink of Scrubbing. Without this update you would notice that my mod undid some of the parent mods recent changes. Like the new face washing animation.

If you haven't seen it yet Nuascura recently did a major rework of Bathing in Skyrim. I added support for cleaning that mods effects too. I think. In my next playthrough I plan to replace Dirt & Blood with that mod. I do not play with BiS yet. So if people who do use it can test and report back. In theory the sink will clean that mods effects off as well.

I also noticed that in the previous version I hid Sink of Scrubbing's message box popups. They tell the player how refreshing their experience was. I hid that popup long before I thought to release this mod to the public. The popups did not fit with my roleplay motivations. I forgot I made an opinionated change until reviewing the new version and seeing those popups commented out. So now this change is optional. Install the main version of this mod. If you want to hide the popups install the NoMsgAddon.zip after.

Awesome, thank you! I am still using the "old" BiS version, so not sure whether it's supposed to work with that one.

I am glad you included the option to hide the messages.

Ok, so I have updated to  v1.5 of Sink of Scrubbing, installed the new SexLab Integration patch and the NoMsgAddon. When I now press "Activate Wash basin", RaceMenu immediately opens. There is no message box anymore to choose between grooming and cleaning.

That's not intended behaviour, I guess?

Posted

@Gudulba I can only guess why that might be happening for you. Have you tried reinstalling the mods or uninstalling them?

You can uninstall my modifications to Sink of Scrubbing at almost any time. Skyrim will not even warn you about missing a script because you are not. You are just changing scripts back to default. So try with only base 1.5 installed. Do you have this issue? If so try reinstalling that mod or debugging it. If not try downloading a fresh copy of my mod and installing that. Problem? If not then try installing a fresh copy of the NoMsgAddon. Problem? Doing the tests might solve your issue. If not then tell us at what point the problem resurfaces. That will narrow it down.

I could not replicate your issue on my end. Pressing E brings up the menu to select grooming or cleaning. If I double press E then do I see the race menu. Because that selects the first option in the menu. I suppose some keyboard setting could cause a press and hold to be reinterpreted as repeatedly pressing E. Or a faulty keyboard can do that. That is another possibility.

Thanks for all your input, much appreciated! I removed all three mods, started with base 1.5 -> worked. Added your edited scripted -> worked. Added the nomessage addon -> still worked. Don't know what went wrong the first time around...

@Gudulba Thank you for reporting back. Happy to hear it worked.

If you are using the old BiS there is a chance this mod will clean its effects as well. The function it calls is prefixed mzin so I believe it is a function from the old mod.

I have migrated from the old BiS (with various addons) to BiS Renewed. And when using the sink's cleaning option, dirt gets cleaned down to 20%, which is equivalent to using only a washrag in BiS Renewed and no soap. I think that's a good outcome.

No such luck.  Just tried this with legacy BIS and, though the animations play, nothing is cleaned.

I'm using legacy BIS mainly because I have several "dirt" overlay mods (BIS, SCOE, PAF) and it is the only one that will reliably clean all three.  BISR requires PAF - Fixes and Addons (PFA) to clean PAF "dirt" and I get frequent freezes with PFA which I think are associated with the built-in Comments plugin.

It would be so awesome if you could get this to work with legacy BIS.  I note that I never have any issues with the legacy mod working so long as I have the necessary patch Real Water II.

Anyway, thanks working on this!

@kaxat I changed the function header of a BiSR function that you call. So even though you didn't need all the parameters and nothing script-wise needed to be changed, the script still had to be re-compiled. I've put a new package for you here.

Hmm, have been playing for awhile and suddenly the basins are no longer selectable. They are items in game but cant be clicked on or activated. Anyone else had this issue? Literally I changed nothing and no updates. Just suddenly basins became background items.

Pardon, I downloaded this file but I don't think it did anything? I have both "Bathing in Skyrim: Renewed" (I never had the original) and "Sinks of Scrubbing" -- The dirt decal is still all over my character after washing in the basin, and my status in the menu hasn't changed at all from 'slightly dirty'.

@Nuascura I did not realize that could even be an issue. Interesting.

Mod has been updated. Same scripts as before but recompiled. Both the base mod and the addon needed an update. So if you were running Nuascura's version but wondered why you were getting message box popups you can now get rid of those popups by installing version 1.2.0.

@Coffinmeat If Base Object Swapper stops working then Sink of Scrubbing will too. I would check your BOS error log. Also try updating BOS and the other PO3 mods to the latest.

@Splintered_Lizard You might try v1.2.0. Based on Nuascura's testing it sounds like it will fix that issue.

Posted

@blubaruwrx I doubt it works without a compatibility patch. Sink of Scrubbing uses BOS to literally swap out each basin for a new variant. It is probably going to override any changes Bimbo makes.

You could alter its SWAP.ini file to only replace 50% of basins with SOS. Then a random half of basins will work for SOS and the other are left untouched. It's a simple compatibility patch. But the random aspect of it might get you. There is always a chance that every basin in a city only works for one of the two mods.

is this compatible with Bimbos of Skyrim? I know it uses basins for other....things.

The only NobleWashBasin01 that Bimbos of Skyrim has is in the cell CCHoldansHouse. I had a quick look at how Base Object Swapper works, and it looks like you can add a line to the _SWAP.ini to exclude certain cells from the swapping. So if the .ini was set to exclude CCHoldansHouse you'd have full compatibility.

Hm, I just tried it again and same issue. Became 'slightly dirty' and it won't go away. The dirt decal is from Sinks of Scrubbing, not Dirt & Blood, to be clear.

Posted

@Splintered_Lizard Perhaps I misunderstood. This cleans you down to 20% dirt, per Gudulba's testing.

That seemed to be enough to me. It is similar with other mods where the washbasin removes most dirt but does not give you the fully clean buff that you get from bathing with soap.

If you disagree let us know. I would consider cranking the cleanliness amount.

Also Sink of Scrubbing does not have dirt decals. I am guessing you mean the dirt was from BISR.
