Edit: So the UI shader changed, that means every single UI mod needs to be updated to activate hashes via the new shader. 

On top of that:

All of the character UIs broke

Loading screen half broke

Backpack broke

Terminal is mostly fine, just synthesis icon which is par for the course at this point

Store broke

Guidebook broke

BP broke

Synthesis/Databank broke

Trophy screen broke

Map broke

All of the Rinascita mods broke

All of the portrait mods broke

 

Essentially everything that uses a UI asset broke... which is pretty normal at this point.

Anyway, don't spam "UI mods broke" a bunch 'cus I already know and I'm already working on it.

Hello, it's been a while since I've used skins, and now they've all become broken with messed up textures. I've set them aside and only use the ones that still work, but I just downloaded a skin for Chisa that was released very recently and it also has broken textures. What's causing this? I feel like I'm missing something.
I'm using the latest version of XXMI (WWMI).

Interestingly some of your UI mods still work for me, except for Loading screen, Rinascita city and few character UIs. Possibly due to my resolution set to 2k?

The problem is that broken mods are being distributed on gamebanana.

 

I also tried modifying the ini file, but the error remains the same.

You're not doing anything wrong, apparently they're now distributing broken mods.

I found this on the banana website; it allows you to use Chisa mod.

Someone already wrote that an error occurred and that this can lead to a ban if you change anything there, so much for that.

 

What breaks a rule and puts your account at risk? So, anyone who changes something and gets banned shouldn't complain, you guys are even using the XXMI protection for that.

Guys, don't write such nonsense, there's no point in getting upset. If you edit anything in the original game, then WUWA won't make an exception either. Those who suggest this should actually be banned. This is the second time someone has posted such rubbish. There have been bans for things like this before.

Bans are mostly from sharing ID within screenshots of mods or glitch exploits, editing a settings file shouldn't ban you unless it gives you benifits, for example, the extremly low graphics settings in Online games, while you may get perfect Frames after this, you can also see though parts of the would you shouldn't, this could also be the reason some games ban certain edits to files... no idea why this game would do it though as it shouldn't stop their money flow and as there is no PvP, it wont give anyone benifits?

The only thing you gotta do to make that mod work is add a line to Engine.ini, and it only affects textures.
 

You know what else modifies Engine.ini and textures? WWMI itself. If you are that afraid of altering game files, might as well stop modding all together.

 

That is just fearmongering,

The other problem is that it's claimed this can only be fixed by editing the game's ini file. And why does it work for others without making any changes?
