Using an ESP as a master?

Ark of Truth

Recommended Posts

Every time I try and use a ESP as a master the mod breaks on the next load in the G.E.C.K.

For Oblivion it was use the Construction Kit Extender.

Skyrim was to use Wyre Bash to convert the header in that of a ESM.

What is the progress for New Vegas?

Detailed step by step instructions would be nice :)

Thanks Zippy :) Sadly it doesn't seem to be linking NVSE and Powerup into the Steam version of G.E.C.K :(

Using:

- Using NVSE 3 Beta 2

- The latest version of Power Up from the Nexus

- Added the -editor parameter as well

- Installed the support update

One more thing, I have the Ultimate Edition on Steam and I have noticed that when using G.E.C.K the program automatically checks all DLC plugin. It only does it when I first go to open something. It does it when ever I start the program.

Is there a way to stop it from doing that?

In your data folder there are a bunch of .nam files. They're blank documents whose on;e purpose is forcing all dlc to load when you open GECK. Delete them and it won't happen any more.

That's also a good way to force your mod to load automatically any time you open GECK. Just title a blank notepad document (mymod).nam and place it in your data folder.

So your mod needs the resources and assets from the DoA *esp file to function? Is this correct? Is there no way to use the assets from the DoA mod *esm instead? Usually all the assets for a mod are in the *esm anyway, the *esp plug in is usually just a "trump card". If there is anyway I can help on this, I would be happy to assist you Ark.

Because it has issues when I change the master back to a .ESP

and the DoA mod comes with a ESP, which needs to be the master of this mod.

How do you change it back ? FNVEdit should do that without any issue

Otherwise, it might be easier to alternate between two copies of your "master", one with the flag set for edition in GECK and the original untouched version.
