travelmedic Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Yes, it's a pain in the ass having to keep up with updating mods, but at least give them credit for trying to make things right.

I'll give them credit for sorta kinda "trying". But, just like the government, they will fuck up a wet dream. 5
Shep67 Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Hi there, I read about that, too. I've bout the Gog version. Now it "runs" at version 1.10.163 . I do not have creation club but the mods here working. Again the F4SE Team has many work to do and so on. At Nexusmods the is the 0.71 version of F4SE. I would suggest that the Modder should wait until the updates are finished (Maybe 5 years? LOL , i hope not). I am not a modder. Sorry for OT. Have a nice day.
Chlodwig Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 So will this Hotfix make the old mods work again or is it still better keep the pre April 2024 patch Version of the Game?

The hot fix was for the previously released "Next Gen" patch, old mods depended on F4SE will have to be updated to the new version. F4SE has updated this to the new release but keep in mind that this last so called "hot fix" still has yet address most of the things the "Next Gen" patch broke, as is using the lasted patch just in vanilla with no mods is making the game crash sometimes and support for other things such as ultra wide screen still no there. for now if you want modded experience, id say stick to old mods until more mod makers release updates as well as the game itself gets more stable.

Any patch from Bugthesda will break mods 100% of the time. So, keep the pre next gen version and have fun playing. Once they finish trying to fix their fucked up "improvements" and the community steps in and fixes it right, then you can think about updating the game. But personally, at this point, I see no reason to update the game. For PC, the patches really don't add anything worth a shite. Hell even the garbage... errr "wonderfully amazing and awe inspiring" CC content has fixes/tweaks out. 2

Izzy is right, can only recommend this, and I (PC gamer since...486...) always handle it this way, major updates on the way...run for cover till all bugs are fixed and only then update...minor updates...wait for a new f4se to appear before updating. Oh, and always having a backup in place to roll back, should need arise, is not too wrong either. 2
