I added more than 30 follower .esp files to the whitelist, but I can only enslave a maximum of 11 followers in mcm.

One thing to be aware of, Captive Followers will only grab followers camped out within the cities/inns.  So if the followers you've grabbed are located outside of towns, they won't be swept up unless you configure it to force capture them.  Also, sometimes it won't grab all on the first pass, with a few stragglers picked up on a second run (in my experience anyway, may be follower dependent).

Somebody floated the possibility of some followers being set up as Initially Disabled, so they don't really spawn until you show up there... which may(?) limit the ability to collect them as well.

I see, I understand now.

I really want to use this MOD but for me it seems the config file does not work.
*Blacklisted NPCs get added (sofia, which blacklisted by default) Interesting NPCs followers I added myself, but also some vanilla NPCs, mainly Fultheim the Fearless which could break the Dark Brotherhood questline.
*White listed followers doesn't change anything.
*Force capture doesn't change anything.
*1 follower (Danariel Stormbow) got added 18 times according to MCM????

*Some followers I know that are added to inns etc do not get captured.

I'm playing on VR with Madgods NSFW Wabbajack list. Is there something I'm missing? I've tried this on new save and existing save with no luck. I'm new to Wabbajack and MO2 so do I need to change some things do get it to read the config file?

I would be very grateful for any help as this seems like just the MOD I was looking for. Thanx.

Any chance for a location blacklist? It would add a way to remove imcompatibilities with mods that alter vanilla dungeons(such as Dungeons - Revisited)

I could do it, but I am working on something else. Maybe in the future. I am not sure which of those dungeon altering mods are incompatible.

Just updated for 2.0. Version number in MO2 still says "1.8"

Right, I forgot to upgrade the version in the installer itself. I fixed it, just now.

Loved the mod idea, just something to note, seems like the mod doesn't play nice with this mod : [Kukatsuo Follower UNION](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/123452), the Harlot npc will cause CTD when entering Honningbrew Meadery after restraining the followers (Something about AI package) :(

I haven't tried that mod... It looks like it may be incompatible, because it's trying to do the same thing as Captive Followers.

Danariel Stormbow may not compatible with this mod, just blacklist her. I recommend that you just blacklist follower mod file names. Force capture needs a reference id and the reference id is hard to find in SSEEdit. It's not the NPC id, but the id of the reference in the cell or worldspace where the follower is placed. White listed followers only apply if you have the RestrainOnlyFromWhitelist set to 1, otherwise it does nothing.

Hey, I just wanted to report that this mod and Captive Player may not compatible with Babo Dialogue, at least not in my Load order.

The way that Babo Dialogue starts the MCM is probably creating a conflict between it and the MCM from this mod and Captive Player:

Scriptname BaboDialogueConfigMenu extends ski_configbase  Conditional

Event OnGameReload()
	parent.OnGameReload()
	VerifyMods()
EndEvent

event OnConfigInit()
	PageReset()
	Debug.notification("Babodialogue MCM started")
endevent

Creating a new save or loading an existing one will crash the game if Babo Dialogue and Captive Followers are enabled:

There is just one "solution" that I found, giving BaboDialogue.esp a lower priority and letting CaptiveFollowers and CaptivePlayer load after worked, but this caused the MCM of both mods to not load.

I also checked my save file with ReSaver after this test and found out that this "solution" causes zeroed canaries in the save file.

EDIT: I forgot to mention something very important, the crashes only happen because I'm using MenuMaid, without it the game will not crash, but the issue of the MCMs not loading will persist.

Hi. Im trying to get the mod work but it didnt show up in the mcm menu. So far i tried these:

Check/Update mods it requires - (Jcontainer is not since it attached to specific skse version) all latest, no luck

setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 - no luck

Clean new save - no luck

Complete delete and reinstall this mod - no luck

Cap the framerate at 50 fps - no luck

The papyrus log is attached. Hope that can help.

Edit: I can confirm the mod is loaded. The mod appear in AIM's menu, but just not for MCM

One thing that I tried was to create a new game with only Captive Followers and Captive Player enabled, wait for them to load into the MCM, saving and closing the game. After that I enabled Babo Dialogue again and tried to load the save, which also resulted in another crash:

There is just one "solution" that I found, giving BaboDialogue.esp a lower priority and letting CaptiveFollowers and CaptivePlayer load after worked, but this caused the MCM of both mods to not load.

I also checked my save file with ReSaver after this test and found out that this "solution" causes zeroed canaries in the save file.

EDIT: I forgot to mention something very important, the crashes only happen because I'm using MenuMaid, without it the game will not crash, but the issue of the MCMs not loading will persist.

Honestly not to surprised. The Baka mods kinda are their own little ecosystem, they work well with each other, but have a tendency to clash with other mods. Kinda sad really, as there are a couple nice ones, but I've given largely up on them.

I found an issue that is causing a crash. Apparently if the enemies in the location that the followers are captive in try to have fun with the prisoner when you are entering the room it causes the game to crash. This happens in such a way that papyrus does not even log it so... hope the info I have helps?

Papyrus basically never records a crash, that's (among other reasons) because the papyrus logs are written with a delay, so if the game terminates abnormally (i.e. crashes), the last half a second or so before the crash simply gets lost. Might not sound like a lot, but it is. That's why you need a crashlogger like: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818
Try installing one and post the crashlog it writes please. Might shine some light on your problem, it's not a general error as it does not appear to happen to most users, certainly not for me.

I was wondering what is going on with the MCM reporting Followers of the same name at multiple locations. Are they duplicated, found in the first place you visit, or is this an MCM display error.

I mean, I have way too many as everyone else.

Great mod! Working really well for me in VR. 216 followers were turned into captives (I started the mod in an interior cell and waited for it to finish before leaving). Talking to them frees them with no issues and they follow me until we are out of dungeon/fort. Thanks so much!

Idea: it would be great to add the esp name of "monster mods" to be added in the config. That is, only mods where all npcs would make sense. For instance, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/147065 I think the big advantage is that your mod would not need an update if the name changes, new AIOs are released, etc. (With a big warning that if the mod would add both "regular" and "monster" npcs, both would be added). Another one is that, sometimes, authors name their esps differently for game version.

Once gain, thanks for a great mod!

I am not sure. I have never seen this. I will keep an eye on it.

I found your mod on nexus!

But it is not updated yet.

Could you do this?

It's easier for me to update it in one place and to respond to messages in one place, so I just put a note there to download the mod from here.

Thanks, I will see if I get a chance, but for now I am working on something else.

There are some followers like Danariel Stormbow which were set up in a really strange way, whose mod provides multiple body types, CBBE, Sevenbase, UNP etc. This mod collects them ALL and distributes them.

Please let us know what followers are giving you this issue, so we know not to use them, or to blacklist them.

For those having the MCM not showing up, apparently, having Sexlab in your load order is a must. Without Sexlab, ZAZ won't load, and without ZAZ there is no Captive Follower. I thought that using Ostim was enough, but it that wasn't the case.
