johnhamm Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 Would it be possible to add a percentage chance to capture to the scanner? That way you could choose if all followers disappear or only 50% or 70% or something. Personally I would set it to high but not all because I like one or two people available at low level

NicholasJMoore Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 (edited) Just an FYI, no fix requested. "Follower Onean Reborn" can stop this mod from working. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145253 There is nothing in the .esp file (SSEEDIT), and it does not replace any scripts that I can see. Maybe there is a script conflict? Not sure, they don't provide the source. I placed "Follower Onean Reborn" lower in the load list in Mod Organizer, then created a new game and it seemed to have worked. So maybe Captive Followers need to load before "Follower Onean Reborn." MortiferusX Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 How can I untie them? Other Mods have dialogues for that.

Leave whatever dungeon you are in and keep moving until you reach a different cell (can take a while), they will then stop following you, redress (assuming the follower wasn't naked to start with) and have their bondage removed. At that point you can either let them be and they will move back to where you they are supposed to be found, or you can recruit them at the spot. Do NOT try to recruit them before that point, it can mess up things.

That's the official was, from the first paragraph of this mods description: "If you manage to infiltrate an enemy fort, when you walk up to a restrained follower you can just activate them or hit them and they will follow you outside." Works for me just fine. If it fails for you, most likely some other mod is interfering, likely something with a higher priority AI package. Might also be the specific follower, try another. 1

Hit means with weapon, fists or whip? Can you give some Examples for Mods that can block that? Currently it looks like nothing works. Edited May 5, 2025 by MortiferusX

Currently it looks like nothing works. I assume so, only ever did so unintentionally while fighting. Weapons definitely worked fine in those circumstances. As for example mods, honestly, no, I never had that problem. Perhaps I misunderstood though, they are not just failing to follow you, you can't even get them out of their devices? Is the dialogue opening?

That's true, but slightly confusing I guess. No the mod has no dialogues. But yes talking to the NPC (or rather opening the Dialogue window) has an effect. If the follower is in the device, hitting them or opening the dialogue menu releases them from the device. After that they should follow you, so you can led them out of the dungeon and into a new cell, at which points they redress and start moving towards wherever they should be. The question you didn't answer is where does that process fail for you? Can't get them released from the ZAZ furniture? Or do they fail to follow you, if they fail to follow, what do they do instead? We/I have no idea what you see, you will have to become more descriptive if you want more help.

When I talk to them: Nothing happens, they stay bound in their device. When I hit them: They fall out of the device but will be locked again after a few seconds. Sometimes I get a 40g Bounty.

Was this on a new game? If not did, you test on a new game? That's a very odd behavior, can't remember anyone ever having the same problem. Perhaps a papyrus log could shine some light on it, but unless it's something pretty obvious like stack dumps or something similar I'm afraid you will have to wait for darkdesires to chime in.

I have the same. Usually after 3 or 4 cells and some combat they revert to normal but i can not figure out why.

That doesn't sound like the same problem at all. From your description it appears the followers follow, but take unusually long to go back to normal. Mortiferus problem is that he can't get them to follow him in the first place.

Yes but there is some conflict blocking both of us. Could be from the same source. I have had to force some of them with NFF. They want to continually return to whatever device was holding them.

If you have more informative console you can see what AI package the followers are under. Maybe that can point you in the right direction

Old game. Ok, I will try a new game then the next days.
stalian Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 just downloaded and installed the mod but when I started the restrain process, it says "restrained 0 followers". is that right or is something wrong.

Depends, how many followers do you've installed? By default, the vanilla followers are excluded, so if you have no other installed (or by pure chance some that are also blacklisted for one reason or another) this can be correct.
Vertaghost_ Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 Any way to make this mod only capture Females and leave all Male followers untouched? What line of code should be put in the config.json?

New Game, but not working better. They still stay in their bindings. I can talk to them and I have all normal Dialogue Options. When I hit them, they fall out of their bindings but go back in them after a few seconds.

Ok, beats me sorry, you checked your papyrus log for any connected errors?
