Game starts with F4SE but in "Windowed" and in a very small resolution. Mods wont load in correctly

As mentioned above. I did set up F4SE and I am using MO2. I did set up all the mods from the .csv file but the game just wont start up in Fullscreen once I try to use F4SE. Also the mods wont load in correctly... Bodymods wont work from the lookds. Hair mods are just bald heads ( never made it greatly past that)

I tried it with only F4SE and the Azars Ponytail Mod...that doesnt work. Either.

Sorry. Its late. I am getting frustrated after hours :D
I hope someone can help, I am happy to provide all that I can as long as I am still awake / awake agin :)

Read any guides? Watch any tutorial vids?

No, because if they had they wouldn't have both CBBE and Fusion Girl installed at the same time.

1 - Find the AAF Fucking Manual in the pinned forum threads here on LL.  Actually read it and follow its instructions.

2 - Find youtube videos by Gopher and/or Gamer Poets on setting up MO2 and F4SE

3 - How are you launching F4SE?  On its own or from within MO2?

4 - We already know the answer, so don't kid a kidder.  Did you install only 2-3 mods at a time and then test to make sure everything works, or did you install your 100+ mods all at once and hope for the best?

Let me put that into perspective for you...

I will spend a minimum of 2-3 weeks, sometimes a lot more, when I'm setting up a new game of Skyrim/Fallout/Oblivion.  Reading, studying, downloading, testing, activating, testing, adjusting load order, testing, changing a few mods, testing, making patches, testing, and then testing some more.  Yes, that's a lot of time, but in return I can run smooth, stable games with hundreds of mods without having any major issues.

Five years of modding Skyrim LE, over two years away and now about 4 weeks or more into setting up Skyrim SE for the first time. Reading, watching, thinking, prodding and poking. My game is playable but not the way I want it so tomorrow I'll be doing more prodding and poking to bend it to my will.

First of all... no need to be a dick. I just asked.

Thanks for the answers.

1. ok will do.

2. watched videos from those

3. Via MO2

4. No you dont ( dont be arrogant... ) because yes I did. I basically set up a test profile of FO4 in MO2 with only F4SE as the launch option + 1-5 Mods depending on dependcies. and it still wouldnt work. Even If I Only chose CBBE and Azars Ponytail for Example just to test.

I just thought I could ask to get some help here to not wast fucking weeks. I know that fallout and skyrim modding. Modded Oblivion for weeks to get one armor set to work. Just thought. HEY... there is a community. WHY NOT FUCKING ASK

Never made my skyrim fully playable the way I want after 2k hours in it with 2k hours of modding it ^^

But I never had it that F4SE ( reinstalled it twice already) wouldnt start the game in Fullscreen just in a window half the size of my monitor. ( The game without F4SE does start in a fullscreen  )
I tried editing it in the FO4 Pref Files... didnt work sadly. :D

I used to have that kind of time. But if rn I get to play games about twice a week for a couple of hours do to work... University in the evenings and just RL ... I just cant spend what used to be weeks in months now to play a game mate.
And I cant really reduce work since I cant really influence my duty times these days.

I will follow the guides. (And yes I should have followd the AAF Manual)... I actually kinda ignored that ^^
Sorry for the "Outbreak" ... It was 6 am and I had no coffee at that point. Will do what was suggested... Just hate it if people just assume other peoples stupidity...

you mean my number posts? Yeah I am normally not that active in writing on forums ^^

Just so that we're not overlooking the obvious here...

Did you start the game at least once from the vanilla launcher?  (that somehow magically registers it for MO2 to work)

Did you set the video settings (windowed/fullscreen, resolution, etc) from the vanilla launcher?

When you edited the FO4Prefs ini file, did you do it from your Documents folder, or using the built-in ini editor in MO2?  If I remember right, MO2 will create a new ini version for each profile, so if you edited the vanilla in My Documents or your Steam folder, the MO2 version may still be the same.

You did set up the F4SE executable/launcher to launch from within MO2, right?

No one is trying to insult you.  Usually stuff like this traces back to something small and seemingly insignificant that you can't believe  you spent hours/days/weeks trying to correct.  I know, because I've been there.

Yes. I launched the game first once without anything.  :)

Then F4SE
Then I got MO2
Then set up MO2 to launch F4SE

Then I set up two profiles. One with all the mods. One with only 1-2 Mods at all time

I did untick borderless and windowed  in vanilla launcher
this works without F4SE but not with it

"When you edited the FO4Prefs ini file, did you do it from your Documents folder, or using the built-in ini editor in MO2?  If I remember right, MO2 will create a new ini version for each profile, so if you edited the vanilla in My Documents or your Steam folder, the MO2 version may still be the same."
--> That is a good point. I only did the My Documents one...

Yeah I know that no one here wants to insult... Just been a VERY VERY shitty week ... sorry
