Hello, I'm having an issue with children when this mod is enabled, if I have animations enabled and a portrait of a child shows up on screen my framerate will steadily go down and down until the child goes away. Disabling animations causes the framerate to return but it's quite dull to play without animated portraits.

 

The framerate seemingly worsens forever, I got it to go down to 5 fps from 120 after I went afk during a scene with my child. Again framerate goes back to normal if I just close the window with the child on it. However if you open a window with the portrait of the same child the framerate will return to how it was at its lowest, if you click on the portrait of a new child the framerate degradation begins slowly again.

 

Female children lower my framerate much faster than male children and the slowdown starts 5-10 seconds after having a child on your screen.

 

Looking at my task manager when it happens my GPU usage goes from 30% to 60-70% with a child on my screen. I re-installed the mod to see if it would still happen and it does.

 

Verified my steam files, no issues, disabled every single mod aside from carnalitas and CBO, still happens, even disabled carnalitas with nothing but CBO enabled and it still occurs.

While I'm here, guess I might as well mention that the defines file doesn't seem to work, I tried to change the child -> adult portrait modifier age to 16 from 18 because I ripped the everyone wears revealing clothes code from regula magistri and it gives everyone revealing clothes at 16, but the portrait modifier still paints on the weird black skin texture on them until they turn 18.

Lol, its the shoes, if I remove cbo_shoes file, so people are barefoot, the issue doesnt happen.

Children wear different shoes, and not sure how but maybe thats causing the slowdown.

Quick fix seems to be to remove shoes from children (those that are under the age of 4)

I don't think you are supposed to be able to lower the age, CBO is full of checks to make sure its only applied to those over the age of 18 (there is also a forum rule against underage nudity)

So better off changing it so revealing clothing only applies to characters over the age of 18, if needed I can help with that.

It's fine I can do that on my own but thanks for the offer, on another note the fps still dips for children above age 4, I made everyone under 16 barefoot and it seems to be working alright.

Mega has daily ratelimits on users, the app helps with this, by pausing the download and resuming it when the ratelimit ended (i think it caps like 5GB per day or something similar, not sure, what is the limit now)

UPDATE: it seemed to have been an issue with extracting CBO - everything is working now after re-extraction!

 

Hi, thanks for the pull request again, isolating another issue here. Without skimpy affairs (load order below), I don't see any CBO options in Better Barbershop (I've also tried without barbershop). The bodies work fine and the vanilla clothing fits with minor clipping issues. I remember in CBO there was new clothing and genes including makeup and heels - are those not in the game for now?

Hi, I think you only have a partial CBO install, it should be 4GB, not 2.2GB.

Maybe thats why no localization, or working portrait modifiers

Hi, really weird. Seems like I am using DX11, so not sure why don't see it, but there might still be some hidden bugs like the children shoes that are messing things up.

Hi, yea it was reported earlier, I'll try fix it, but currently no ideas whats actually broken. Maybe as simple as the vertex group assignment, but not don't think that would have changed in last update.

Haven't used coetus anima yet, so not sure. Seems like that mod does things that maybe would have been affected by the Carnalitas update. I can look into that, but its probably low priority for me now, not sure if someone else is better suited to check that mod (its not really about meshes/animation, more  just scripting)

Yea, working on cbo animation pack, I'm having to re-align all the animations in blender so the animations are above the ground. Around halfway done, but might still take a few more days.

There's a bug with the Byzantine court, if you do the carnal court make love activity. If you don't have your own court the game will bug and you are only able to petition your liege and you can't cancel the event afterwards.

I've got a problem with the OBC, but first I'd like to say that I don't speak English very well, so maybe I've missed something ^^'.

When I create my character (adventurer) and I want to go to the hairdresser, this is the image I get and I have no way of validating it. I thought I needed BetterBarbershop but it doesn't seem to be up to date and my game crashes on start-up if I put it on. Have I misunderstood something? Have I done something wrong?

It should be up to date, make sure to place it as late in the load order as possible (usually for me this and the CBO extension of barbershop are the last mods in the list)
