Bashis
so i have skyrim through steam (of course) and i have 2 data folders for it, complete installations, one with sexlab mods, one without, because i don't want porn all the time. Anyways so when i want to swap what im playing i have to move the data folders around and it takes a while, since the extras are stored on my second hdd. my question is that since i do have 2 internal harddrives can i in some way install skyrim to both, so that i don't have to wait half an hour while the data is being copied from one harddrive to another, and instead just launch it from either hdd A or B so that i don't have to move folders anymore? LaEspada
Use Mod Organizer and you can easily switch between profiles on what you want in your game. Your Skyrim directory will always stay clean with Mod Organizer and you can easily manage what mods you are using and see what overwrites what and other useful tools. Link to comment
RitualClarity
MO is a bit of a curve getting things set up. There is a page that you can go to to read all the good things and setup. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1334/?tab=4&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D1334%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D473728&pUp=1 http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22618-mod-organizer-official-support-forum-on-step-not-on-skyrim-nexus-anymore/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20492-mod-organizer/ Some sites that might be of interest. Guest carywinton
Yes you actually can do two game installs of any game, provided you have a CD key for each, as in you must own two copies and one must be on actual CD/DVD media, not digital download type. You would have to turn off the Steam service in order to install the second copy, type Services.msc in the "Search Programs and Files" box, look for "Steam Client Service", right click it and click "Stop" other than this, no problems. I am sure the Mod Organizer option might well be good too, I have no experience with this however, so I cannot comment on it. Link to comment
Gᴀʟᴠᴀɴɪᴢᴇ
I have 2 installs of Skyrim, one on my SSD and one on my HDD, I use both installs to test different things around without having to break saves. One thing to note, if you do this, your skyrim will share the same document folder and config files. But other then that, I use BOSS, Wyre, NMM, and tes5edit just fine! Link to comment
