kayturner Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I can't get skykids working. It crashes my game after the start up screen. Can anyone help? Some mods seem to work while others give this problem. Very likely a missing master, post your load order. RadioSilence Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Just checking, but do all the armor's from http://www.loverslab.com/topic/15220-armor-conversions-for-yii-techniques-labors-cots/?do=findComment&comment=191470 work?

Obviously the body will not match up as this mod doesn't use the CotS body, but they're both using the UNP UV map so it should still look ok.
RadioSilence Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 What all mods are the skeletons currently set up for? Stuff like Belt-Fastened Quivers, The Joy of Perspective, etc?
en_hawk Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 What all mods are the skeletons currently set up for? Stuff like Belt-Fastened Quivers, The Joy of Perspective, etc?Well its XPMS(albeit an older copy), so whatever XPMS supports(or supported at the time I created my modified version). If support starts to become an issue I can see about updating it to the latest version.

JerWA Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I installed racial compatibility. It still doesn't work. Do we need the BOSS mod? That seems to have been removed from Nexus. Ok ignore my pre-edit, I'm a tard. BOSS is pretty much required, yes. BOSS: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6/? (the actual downloads are on their own site, but they link to it) If you're not overly familiar with BOSS you can also use something like BUM (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/311/?) to make working with the user list easier.
RadioSilence Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I seem to be having problems with this mod... Most of the children have a seam on their necks, and it changes every time I start the game up. (Changes what children have it.) They can't put any armor on. I can equip it, but it will not show up. I tried several different armors, nothing worked. Also, only one hair option shows up. My RaceMenu has 1-999999 or something... odd. I will install it all over again and see what happens...
en_hawk Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 You don't have racial compatibility installed; install it, as per the installation instructions. I installed racial compatibility. It still doesn't work. Do we need the BOSS mod? That seems to have been removed from Nexus. I don't see it in your load order, you're also missing apachii hair females, for which you have the compatibility patch installed. I seem to be having problems with this mod... What specifically is having the neck seam, your character during creation or the npcs? This mod does not presently alter any npcs in the game, so if they are experiencing problems then the fault would lie elsewhere. In order for armor to appear properly you need to run the included armor patcher, insure that it completes successfully, and is active in your load order. Missing hair on races is almost always caused by a broken/incorrect installation of Racial Compatibility(you do need to use the specific version linked in the instructions), however it would help to know which race(s) are having the issue. I suggest you go read/re-read the installation instructions, and follow them to the letter during your reinstall.

(PrtScn does not work, so I can't take a SS of it atm) I ran the patcher, and it was a success. It is the last item in my load list, but the armor won't show. The hair was for the Monli and Drow, that I bothered checking. A re-install worked for that it seems, but I don't know what caused it. I only use the one hair mod. Could mods that patch Vanilla/DLC armor to UNP format cause an error?

The missing hair on the monli/drow was due to a bad/wrong installation of RC. The other issues are a bit more perplexing, post your load order. Could mods that patch Vanilla/DLC armor to UNP format cause an error?Possibly, are they detected by BOSS? If they aren't, you should not be moving the plugin for the armor patcher below them, they need to be added to the userlist to sort above the patcher plugin or it will not work on them.

SPIKE.esm=1 RaceCompatibility.esm=1 Skykids.esm=1 SK Monli Race.esm=1 SK Drow Child Race.esm=1 SK TheEyesOfBeauty.esm=1 ... I need to get this added to the OP, the BOSS team added the skykids plugins to the masterlist, but they screwed up the order so you get missing master errors, hence why you had to move that. Delete the userlist entries that you added initially and replace them with these: OP updated, use those insteadAttach the file '=--Debug Overview--=.txt' from 'Data\SkyProc Patchers\SKArmorPatcher\SkyProcDebug\'.
RadioSilence Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 *File Deleted* I have to move the bigger armor packs to the end after I do that cause the game will CTD if I don't.
en_hawk Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 "[sUM] Closing program early because progress bar was forced to close by user." There's your problem. Don't click the close button on the patcher, it will close on its own when its done.

Regarding the seams, I will most likely need a screenshot. I'm not sure how you could be getting seams either way as all the files are isolated from other mods. Now I got this when I let it stay. Error.png Go into the 'other settings' area of the patcher and turn on debug logging, run it again and attach the file I asked for previously along with 'trace.log' found in the same location. en_hawk Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) =--Debug Overview--=.txtAsynchronous log.txtThats the wrong file, I need 'trace.log' not 'Asynchronous log.txt'. Also go here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22395-wip-skykids-child-races-other-technical-goodies/?p=586510 and install that updated armor patcher, see if that fixes it for you. Log file says I am not permitted to upload...Rename it to '.txt'. Here are two examples of what I am getting... Regarding the issues in the pictures, try disabling RaceMenuPlugin.esp and RaceMenuOverlays.esp and see if that fixes it. You should not be using RaceMenuPlugin anyway as it breaks the skeleton scaling on the skykids races(and any other race from any other mod). Have you altered the installed files in any way? RadioSilence Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Sorry, I was trying to keep from posting so much. I have not modified the files provided in any way, I just installed them with NMM in the right order. I did go though all the posts before and tried the patches you gave out. I will disable those and test it out. --------- Edit: Here is what I get after I disable... Take to long to upload... All the child races still have it, but now it seems more like their head is to large.

The neck seam on the khajiit male appears to be a problem with the mod, I'll have it fixed for the beta 2 release(which is coming up here in the next day or so).

en_hawk Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 It's already installed, and it does not seem to work for me. ^^Edited post before^^ (It was uploading before you posted)Well now that you've run the new patcher, attach your new debug overview and trace log for me. I'm not sure what to tell you about the necks, its got to be something you have in your install. On a vanilla skyrim+skykids it should look like this: The heads looking too large comes down to personal preference, what matters is that it is now the correct size as defined by the custom skeleton. If it's that big of a deal I can explain how to change it yourself(manually), or add some extra optional files with different sizes in the next release.
RadioSilence Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 That picture looks FAR better than what I am getting... I think it would be a good idea to provide two heads to choose from, I am sure people would like that.
