Guest Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 (edited) So, I've encountered an issue where my character dies after vomiting frost, this happens on all my saves. I found this video someone made, the same thing is happening in my game. th Edited January 2, 2024 by Ablack13
traison Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Before you die, open the magic menu and check active effects. If you're lucky, its visible there. Otherwise finding spells might get quite tricky, as there is no "inv" equivalent for SPEL records, nor for MGEFs (which is what this essentially is).
Guest Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I got it to stop, still have no idea what was causing it tho. It might be more immersive npcs, It seems to cause issues for me
anjenthedog Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 I have read about vomiting ice crystals > death in the past in other posts here or at nexus, although only in passing. Fwiw, while ?uncommon?, on rare occasion, enemy "buffs" can (for whatever reason) get stuck onto player by some glitch or another. No idea why, but I've been stricken with a Fire Atronoch tail once and Draghur (not sure which version) glowy eyes twice. Presumably, unless you have some mod that offers that neg buff as a feature, you got caught in some ice wraith or similar "buff". It's been quite a while now, but if memory serves, removing the "buff" required me to use dispel from console.

Never had any effects transfer in all my years modding however so if this is indeed a thing, its caused by a mod. 1
anjenthedog Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 (edited) Indeed it's a thing alright... Check on google (et al) using "draghur eyes", then scroll down a few posts. About half the posts on 1st page of results has related entries. And I didn't even prepend "Skyrim special edition" like I usually do to focus the search https://duckduckgo.com/?q=draghur+eyes&atb=v354-1&ia=web Edited January 4, 2024 by anjenthedog
Just Don't Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Check your ESM+ESP count. I'm pretty sure that's a classic symptom of going above the 254 limit.
