ECE and standalone followers

Edit 11/23/2013: This particular problem was solved a few weeks ago. I decided to replace the .Tri files for the 100th time and put all files into their original paths after two weeks of experimenting by trial and error. Somehow, the ECE morphs finally decided to apply to the face after I did this. No idea why ECE didn't work the other times I had this setup, but I guess a file or two were overlooked from the very start, even though I followed several follower guides w/ screenshots verbatim and checked my pathing 30+ times. I felt compelled to edit this in case someone finds this archive.

I have a problem making a standalone follower for personal use. So far I have almost everything completed from combat style to perks/spells to all the textures and meshes. The very last thing I need to do is to somehow get Enhanced Character Edit to apply to my followers custom Head. The weird thing is that the eyes, brows, and hairline all work, but not the actual female head part.

If I choose Femaleheadnord, which is the default setting, the ECE morphs will apply correctly. If I choose the custom headpart the head will apply the vanilla head morphs (at least that’s what it looks like). The custom head part is 100% identical to the femaleheadnord including the same racesmorph.tri, chargen.tri and head.nif files. This is a huge problem because this does not cause the follower to be a full standalone. If anyone has any clue on how to make the custom headpart apply ECE morphs I would appreciate the help.

For clarification, what I meant by headpart is the face headpart in the character gen parts tab of an NPC. I can also put up a comparison image of what is going on if you need me to.

Additional information:

Follower uses nord race not a custom one

I have charactermakingextender.esp loaded Edit: And ECE.esp is loaded now too

All file paths are correct

ECE version is 1.2

You're using the Ygnord head that comes with ECE, correct?

After selecting the ece head, you have to move over to the Character Gen Morphs tab, click Reset All, then select Nose type 32.

Will replace the the femalehead.nif in a second I'll edit my post when I get my results.

Edit: Nope, the face in the preview window is still radically different. I re-applied the face morph in nose type 32 after changing the headmesh, but nothing happened.

The author made a tut. he doesn't speak english very well so it's a little broken, but it should help a bit.

I already know that, the morphs saved in nose type 32 only take effect when the npc is using the vanilla head part and not the custom version

Do you have Enhanced Character edit loaded in addition to Character making extender?

No, I'll try that now that I found the fix to a problem that prevented me from loading multiple master files.

Edit: Nope I still have the shitty droopy vanilla face when using the custom headpart.

Edit 2: Should I recreate the facegen by pressing ctr+f4 again? Or does the preview window give me the actual look regardless if I do that or not?

So, I spent some days at the nexus to see if they got a solution, and they are completely stumped as well. Since everyone just keeps copying and pasting the ECE guide. I've decided to create an image to help explain the problem.
