Suzii Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Hello, this is my first post here but I have been a long time lurker....well not a LONG time...I have only had Skyrim oin PC since January... I was wondering if it was possible to create a custom follower using the ECE and ECM sliders in the creation kit? My knowledge of the creation kit is, shall we say, extremely limited. Normally I make a customer companion by creating their appearance in Skyrim, then I use the savepcface command, open up CK and create the companion there and import the .npc file, and then lastly ctrl+f4 before saving the companion. I know how to convert a file into a ESM via Wyre Bash since I had to do that to create my own MilkyGirl Assasin follower... But really, thats all I know how. I looked for a tutorial...but I don't know if my search queries were too specific because I couldn't find anything...or if I am really just the only one that cant figure this all out... I'm going to keep trying...maybe I just have to start with the basics and learn more about how the files all work before I can jump into the fire But...I'm impatient...
shedidwhat Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 from the ECE Description page Q. Apply face data made by additional sliders to the NPC. You can import to NPC face morph.※ Body sliders, hair and colors cannot be applied. First, make face you want to transport in showracemenu. This is saved in NoseType32.Load and save as Skyrim.esm in CK. (example:Lydia.esp)Check this esp, CharacterMakingExtender.esp and hair esp(esm) If you use, active only made a esp and then load files.Select the actor you want to change, click the Reset All button and then select NoseType32 in the Character Gen tab.Edit the hair and makeup in Chargen Parts tab. Click the OK after editing. You output selected the actor to mesh with Ctrl + F4. Save temporarily. If you don't need master file to CharacterMakingExtender.esp, push the Ctrl + Delete deregistrate master in File->Data window->Parent Masters and then load and save. -If you want to apply npc to change neck-length and head size. When you do not work, you do not change the neck-length and head size. Position of hair is incorrect.Head equipment is incorrect with even when performing this task, because it changes mesh. You want to correct the head equipment, not in this way, please specify the Skeleton was custom made ??a dedicated race. When you want to apply the length of the neck / head size, change the 33 LipType. You know hair is incorrect in the Preview. This is fixed in later, you output selected the actor to mesh with Ctrl + F4.NifSkope is below open in Meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\, the face data of NPC. (It is easy updates to the most recent date and time sort)We enter what you choose "Hair ~" of NiTriShape, enter twice the length of the neck that you noted to Z of Translation, + 1 to the size of the head to Scale.Right-click, Transform-> Apply the NiTriShape, and then ignore the warning click "Try anyway". Hair... made to all, please save. Be displayed correctly.

TheGreyChangeling Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 What if you've followed all those steps, but don't see an option for "Nose Type 32" in the drop down menu for noses on the CharGen screen of the CK?
TheGreyChangeling Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Update...found my answer on another page: Enhanced Character Edit Posted by Caithe on 30 March 2013 - 12:20 AM in Skyrim Uploaded Files In response to post #7700214. First go in game and save your character to CME slot 24. This will save your face into nose type 32.Import your spf in CK, then reset all morpher in Character Gen Morph window and select nose type 32.If your race only have 31 nose type, go to menu Gameplay -> settings and search for NoseMorphselect iNoseMorphCount and set value to 32.Don't forget to select your actor and do Ctrl-F4 to export facegendata when you're done.

Does anyone know if saving another face over Slot 24 will ruin my first follower (who is saved and exported to her own .esp)?
Rayblue Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 You just have to back it up, like moving that CME file into another folder or put it into an archive (ZIP, RAR, 7z). Damn, the detail about the neck/head size was something I missed.
