This thread is for discussing the game, not randomly uploading whatever mods are out there. Since InZoi is perfectly available via steam and looking to become a pretty popular game, mod uploads should go in the file page system, provided ofc that it's your mod or that you have permission.

looking further into the game, it has a prison system, you can commit crimes and be put in prison for a while (the video i watched said they were in prison for an hour before deciding to just load a save from before it)
theres an actual prison location and prison activities 


seems like a good avenue for some adult mods

Hi guys, just wanted to drop in, I’m a UE game dev veteran, recently laid off after a decade in the industry. I’m also diving into modding and working on SinZOI, an adult mod for InZoi. Looking forward to sharing progress and getting your thoughts! What features or ideas would you like to see? Let me know!

I have concepts in my head similar to the mods that already exist for Sims 4, those nailed the topic pretty well in my opinion.

they said all updates and dlc will be free until early access ends im guessing theyll sell stuff like clothing packs and new maps once the game is out

Sounds great, thank you so much! Basically the mod will be about nudity & sex, very similar to WickedWhims for The Sims 4. First starting off with the basic features, expanding on that later on if all goes well.

im a patient man but luckily the game's character files are already in the demo so a modder can technically start at least making a nude mod rn

also since this game doesn't have the issue of the sims where changing clothes completely changes your model

modders can make stuff like skirts for femboys while keeping whatever modded penis you select or maybe having vanilla revealing clothing work with them without having to completely rework them

Really sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but InZoi is going to ship with Denuvo Anti-Tamper, which is used to restrict mods, and prevent piracy of the game. This means that the game will be always online, and will verify your game files with a server. If the files dont match, you wont be able to play. InZoi has put out an official statement saying they wont be allowing any mods that affect gameplay. Only texture/cosmetic mods. So all the game files needed to create actual adult mods, will be tamper protected. They even put out a statement on Steam saying they will take legal action against anyone who tries to make mods that affect gameplay.

Well then, fuck that company. Hope they go out of business. I don't care how damn good the game is, it isn't worth it to install kernal-level, purpose-build malware on my computer just to play it with the looming threat of, "we'll fuck you if you fuck with our game." To be clear, there isn't a damn thing they can do legally against you as a user if you play with mods other than to revoke your license to play their game. To clarify, when you purchase a game on a platform like Steam you are not actually paying money to 'own' the game. You are paying to receive a 'license' to play the game. They do technically have the power to revoke that license. But unless you publicly distribute a mod that 'alters' the game and worse charge money for it, they can't come after you. Even then, they will probably only force you to remove the mod from the public sphere. But then even the concept of what is a mod that 'affects gameplay' seems ludicrously vague at best. By that logic, if I make a mod that changes the color of a single pen that sits on a desk in some obscure part of the game then I have 'affected gameplay'.

I loathe Denuvo but that's not how it works. It doesn't restrict mods, it only aims to prevent piracy.

Several other games have been protected by Denuvo and still received mods that are beyond just texture mods.

It doesn't even make the game always-online but you are required to be online first after installing the game or long after you last played the game for authentication...until their servers go down in which case you'd have an unusable product.

 

It's a shame to see that Krafton is against modding, though. Like why even care that much enough to the point that you would threaten modders with legal action instead of putting that resources into making the game better? This stupid shit just makes me want to stick with Sims 4 because even though that game kind of sucks, at least EA doesn't care how people mod it.

While the implementation of Denuvo DRM unfortunately seems to be true, the idea that no gameplay altering mods will be allowed seem to originate from a misconception about the game's EULA, unless there is a different statement made somewhere else.

 

As mentioned previously, Denuvo is not made to restrict mods, but to prevent piracy.

 

An official AMA summary (https://playinzoi.com/en/news/8280) posted earlier this month, talks about them making it possible for modders to use Unreal Blueprints. Blueprints is unreal engine's visual scripting language, and it makes no sense for them to allow the usage of it if the modding is only cosmetic.

 

A more recent news post (https://playinzoi.com/en/news/8376) mentions that they are restricting "unauthorized game data modifications". Based on the AMA summary I would assume this means file tampering that happens outside of their modding framework.

 

Its possible Denuvo will limit any external code injection, if so all the scripting will have to utilize blueprints.

 

It is really crappy of them to not have disclosed that they are using Denuvo.
