Well it is made in the Unreal Engine and that usually is easy to mod. But the game has only just been announced, no release date yet & no word if it will be on steam or epic.

But the game its self does look very good, basically the Sims but with realistic graphics.

Why? I mean, why does Unreal Engine make life easier for modders?

Serious question, because I would like to learn how to mod it ^^

The modding community for unreal engine has been around for a long time and there are more documented successes than other common dev engines such as unity, therefore it's easier to figure out how to do things through research on the internet. Recently, the unity engine has had more games developed on it, these games are not so easy to mod because of how vastly different each game handles it's file structures and meshes/materials. When people say a game is made in unreal, it becomes more clear to modders that it won't be a massive headache to figure out, just a regular headache.

I have yet to dabble on the Unreal engine mods but Unity for sure is a mess with all the file naming structures depending of the game.

Luckily you can just import the entire ".bundle" folder of files in Assetstudio when doing unity mods and search from there what you want, like models or textures.

Example of 2 different unity games, notice the different naming scheme of the files

(Persona 5 Tactica left example                                                                                                    Neptunia Sis v Sis right example  )

But I have to agree with you, it can be a headache sometimes lol.

Other than that, the game looks like a sims clone, luckily the sims-like games have a huge modding community.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to understand the world of modding as much as possible since I'm just starting out and have little time (due to work) ^^

So on the left is machine language and on the right is human language? :D
Ok, jokes aside...

Since I see you as already experienced could I have some advice on the steps to follow to start with some simple mods in Unreal? Some guide or some necessary program maybe...

I have some experience with Python and I used blender until a couple of years ago, but I have never used a game engine nor do I know how a games is structured.

I'm looking for some tutorials online, but any suggestions are more than welcome ^^ Thanks

That is the thing, I have yet to dabble into the world of Unreal modding.

So far I just know Unity stuff but I do have some great guides for Unreal games.

left is machine language and on the right is human language

It is more of an encryption thing, they tried to obfuscate the names of the files so they are harder to find on the left in Persona 5 Tactica, while on the right with Nep SvS, they just left them as is with self explanatory names.

Best guide so far on how to mod Unreal games is this one, it teaches you everything you need to know about it from importing to exporting pak files and even editing meshes on blender.

It even has some videos and images.

It is really through too.

It is made for the old trials of mana remakes but all the other unreal engines work similarly although they might have different file structures but that's about it.

Making mods is something quite nice and enjoyable to do, but they do take some used to the first time you learn on how to do them, as with anything really.

I hope that helps, happy holidays and good luck on making your mods!

Lol there is plenty porn games that looks exactly the same, but they esentially were made as porn games so you don't need to bother urself with modding.

I would be highly interested to know which porn game you are talking about 🤔.

Could you please name one with comparable graphics, good animations and some degree of customizability? Thank you in advance.
