Hi,
its a long time ago with the old Skyrim modding and it worked somehow but Special Aniversary Edition feels like breaking my neck somehow.
I am using mod organizer2 and yeah its a bit 2 much at the start.
I just have a question if i need some codes in the settings.ini/skyrim.ini/skyrimcustom.ini/skyrimprefs.ini ?

i have uploaded my loadorder and just say if u need anything else. I ve tried it to sort it myself but is loot doing the reverse effect then if i run it ? The plugin load order is important not the left panel priority isnt it ? or do i have to sort both myself?

So what are the first few load orders that are on top like Fnis Xp32 skeleton etc before i load Animations and then textures ? I just need simple structure as an image pls^^ or just a hint what i could do better in my load order

Thank you

Hallo,

Danke

You're asking every question at once right now. First you need to narrow it down to what you want to do, like what mods you wanna install and looking through their dependencies and install processes. If your old Skyrim used to work then you already have an idea for what mods you want and how load orders are supposed to work. Both the left and the right panel orders are important but again you need to narrow things down first, otherwise you're just asking for a basic 101 tutorial which may not have the answers you're looking for.

That's why I posted the link to the AE support page... without reading that page he won't really get anywhere in modifying his game

Depends on what you want to achieve. Usually you don't need to add anything, until you find a mod or feature that requires an ini tweak. Blindly editing or adding things there is a quick recipe for a disaster.

If you manually sort your loadorder you shouldn't be using LOOT. Yes, it will undo a lot of what you did.

Both are important. In terms of MO2 the left side is all the mod files, so sorting things to load before (near the top) or after (near the bottom) is key to solve conflicts at a file level (like deciding which texture is going to be used for doors from all the mods you have installed that contain door textures). Whereas the right side shows your loadorder which dictates how conflicts are solved at a record level. Both are important, both require attention. And there are no easy or universal rules to fit all. You'll have to check the conflicts for the mods you have (if it's about mod files check the overwrite flags in the left side of MO2, if it's for record conflicts you'll have to open xEdit and check your loadorder, then apply some common sense like loading mods that are required by other mods first, patches after the mods they're supposed to patch and so on).

Looking at the work someone already did in their modlist would help, so check the guide that was linked above. But even if you copy it 1:1 the key here is learning to spot and solve conflicts on your own.

Great thx for the help its pretty hard to find SSE Ports or Tweaks and anything like that in the support threads. But i am suprised that i didnt crashed yet and yes i fixed some problems already by myself yeah oldrim was 5 years ago on another pc.´

my biggest problem is that i want to play the old mods but these sse compatible patches arent that good... sth is always missing/deleted already or isnt for SSE compatible now. I just followed the SE Compatibility thread but even that isnt up to date :/  But hey fallout4 was easier than skyrim so i just hope starfield wont have any big conflicts :)

I have found some problems by myself already :)

Thanks to the "King of Lies" Todd Howard for the porting problem.

His glorious idea 2 years ago to "gift" us with the 3rd Skyrim version - required - to revise the ports that already existed (or are in the works) for the SE version for the AE version.

---

Regarding Starfield... whether this extremely boring (and in many parts half-finished) game will motivate enough good mod authors to overcome the new hurdles... is still up in the air
