Heinzelman Posted April 24, 2024 Author Posted April 24, 2024 (edited) I enjoyed the second version of slavers, especially the true ending. Was very satisfying and i wish i had the skills to make something like that. I am still depending on a lot of tutorials and stuff. But lets focus on the topic of this thread here Thanks for the reading recommendation, I never read something from Raymond Chandler yet, will look into that. I was watching a lot of movies like Lansky and of course godfather and scarface in the process. But i got the most helpful hints from a 6 hour docu/drama miniseries about the Chicago Outfit (The Making of the Mob: Chicago), which has a huge portion about Johnny Torrio (on which Shelton is loosely based on) and of course Al Capone and his successors. Can't remember it right now, because I played this mod a while ago, but something was amis at the begining. Maybe it was lack of clear motivation to join. If we want to stick with original plot and Nora character, there could be an suggestion in dead womand diary about guy with an infant. Like the possible way to find Shaun would be to joind dark underworld of crime I can image it's not an easy decission for prewar woman, to turn to prostitution few hours after her husband was shot and son kidnaped Anyway I'm not a fan of fo4 original story and prefer to play character unrelated with main plot. 57 minutes ago, cat013 said: Ummmm... A mask of splendor and higher moral codes. Underneath they are stone cold killers. Ruthless, greedy pack of predators, ready to abuse enyone and turn on each other when oportunity arise. It would be nice if we can disconer it layer afer layer, until we know their real faces. 1 hour ago, cat013 said: True. But forced sex might not be a good solution (also, over-represented on LL). And we do not see any at the moment. Yes, I dont like oversexualized mods like troubles of survivor. Sex in games should be an option, a dessert not main dish. My point was rather that player could chose between two paths af career that would lead to Shelton romance plot. Frank would only be as a spice here. I would also add a twist to that story. Shelton as a rescuer, over time turns out to be meanest of them all. Right now he appears to me as a good man with golden hearth. He's the gang boss for Christ sake. 1 hour ago, cat013 said: These are career dead ends (not to mention the skill requirements), but you are up to something here. I see You prefer to stick with main plot of fo4. Can't say its not interesting. Shame I really hate that story

Heinzelman Posted May 21, 2024 Author Posted May 21, 2024 I originally intended to not post any infos before the new version is ready. But as mentioned before there is still a lot to do. So I decided to give you a small info update about Little Pawn 2.0. I have more or less removed all flaws the current version had, as far as i am aware of. The mod has become more compatible, with Depravity for example (I already tested the latter until the end). I also removed my placed NPCs from the vanilla Cells and move them there instead when they are needed. The old Quests have been restructured, but this is more like a "under the hood" change (like using JBs brilliant method to start at stage 100). Overall the old quests play like the same, the only major changes to them is the first interview with hancock which is completely rewritten, because the original one wasnt good. I also made the Tunnel Part of "The Tunnel" a bit more interesting and gave my cells a proper navmesh and lights and stuff. That was a lot of work, but i think its worth it. The next version will hopefully feel a lot more natural with stuff happening between the quests. There will also be more sidequests, small scenes and a new main quest (because one of the original goodneighbor quests was missing). Oh and if you remember, Hancock had something in mind with the Warehouses. This will also be part. The bad news: The "under the hood changes" make it necessary to start a new save or at least a save, which never saw the current version. This is unavoidable and i cant solve this with a simple updatefunction. Please forgive me I have no idea how long it will take. I think at least two more month. I will be happier if i get it done earlier, but i wont rush. I want to make sure, that everything is as well done as i am able to. I have just a few screenshots, which dont give away to much (and they dont necessary show finalised stuff): Spoiler 8
sergafon Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Thank You for information! I will wait this update so much!!!
Heinzelman Posted June 28, 2024 Author Posted June 28, 2024 (edited) Just a small update on my current progress on LittlePawn. I am currently working on the last quest. Then i have to connect everything, fill some gaps and stuff. And then testing. A lot of time was spent to improve the existing stuff and possibly adding more bugs. Overall the dialogue has currently been almost tripled. Thanks to JB., Kziitd and lee3310 i now have AAF xmls to make some AAF scenes more suited to what i want to show. Also thanks to ChatGPT i could save a ton of time to do some scripts etc. There will be a Beta in this thread, because of some optional stuff that would take more time to test for one person. In hopefully just a few weeks. All depends. A few spoilerfree screens (excuse the skimpy outfits, i will of course behave and make better clothed screens next time) Spoiler Edited June 29, 2024 by Heinz01 4
JB. Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 (edited) What I love is that I can play it without interrupting my normal game. Someday I will learn to let the player do what the player wants to do. 😅 Spoiler Edited June 30, 2024 by JB. 1

Funnily enough, I'm having to learn the exact opposite right now, because i wont get away again with an objective like "Please stand still for a few seconds" Fortunately i know a good mod which shows me how. 1
Vulkandrache Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I am stuck at the introductory quest in the mafia HQ. The Trader Finn is not present which makes Yasmine repeat introducing us over and over without the Quest updating. I assume that the conversation is supposed to move to Finn, which cant happen with him being absent. I did not notice the imcompatibility with Depravity. But i also havent done anything else with those NPCS yet. Any idea for a solution?

I assume that the conversation is supposed to move to Finn, which cant happen with him being absent. I did not notice the imcompatibility with Depravity. But i also havent done anything else with those NPCS yet. Any idea for a solution? There may be two reasons for Finn's absence: Either he's off work or he's for some reason not loaded. He works between 8am and 11:59pm (or 08:00 and 23:59). So if the game time is somewhere between 0 and 8 o'clock, then he is sleeping. Solution: Wait until 8 o'clock in the morning. Then he returns to his store. If Finnegan is not loaded, then this is a bigger problem. You can check this with Sqv TRW_C1_Intro. Several "aliases" are listed in the console. If the entry for Finnegan shows "NONE", then he is not loaded. You could "fix" it with a setstage, but then a quest giver for random quests would be missing. So if he is only sleeping, everything is fine, if not, I can only offer you the choice between Setstage TRW_C1_Intro 310 and then one less randomquestgiver (not good) or Return to a savegame before you have read Linda's holotape (after reading it, check once via Sqv TRW_C1_Intro whether Everything is loaded properly. I really hope he is just sleeping The note about Depravity is relevant for LittlePawn V.63. Triggerwoman is fine with Depravity. Edited July 7, 2024 by Heinz01
Vulkandrache Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I assume he is supposed to be standing next to the toilet door behind the counter. The console shows a number for every entry. I slept to 9AM and went down to Yasmine. Finn is still not there. Had to leave the building for him to show up.

I will make him work 24/7 next time This is an oversight. I am glad he showed up for you in the end.
Neveryoumind334 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I get the "attachment is not available" message when I try to download your mod. (Grabbed Triggerwoman a few days ago, but forgot to get Little Pawn.) Is there a reason for that or is there something going wonky on my end?
Vulkandrache Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I am at the Brewery quest now tasked with retrieving the first password from the federal stockpile. Problem is ive already cleared that place out before, i even an item in my Inventory called "Federal ration stockpile password". I was confused as to why the game did not recognize this until i went back there and noticed that there is a second passcode item in the desk. Is that always there or does that only spawn after accepting the quest?

I wanted to avoid touching vanilla stuff too much and causing unforeseen problems, so i made a copy of that password which can be handed over to tower tom without removing the vanilla one.

Vulkandrache Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) Potential next issue. Fetchquest Finn, Concorde, up on the roof, parts chest. The marker points to an empty spot on the roof. There are no other items in the area and nothing behind the wall or roof to be interacted with. Edited July 11, 2024 by Vulkandrache

If its unreachable or just not there you can use the (TRW) Helpmenu (craftable at a chem station in the "utility" section). It has a fix for this case (it will reset the quest and choose another container).
