Remove body shadows

Recommended Posts

How can I remove shadows from the body altogether? I tried changing the fShadowBiasScale parameters but there is no such setting in SkyrimPrefs.ini. I use Mod Organizer 2, Skyrim SE, BHUNP bodies and shadow boost and I want to know how can I fix this "censoring" shadows?

Thanks!

These aren't "shadows", they are shading painted on the skin texture itself. I don't know the technical term for it but I believe it's called NormalMap? Somebody better versed in this correct me please. You would need to edit the skin dds file in graphical editor, or install a different skin that doesn't have them.

So, you tell me that this is a BHUNP problem of this is a skin mod problem? I got REALORE SKIN ULTIMA V2 and BHUNP installed with fair skin.

Сould any of these be causing this shadow issue?

If it is the Mipmaps , as mentioned by @belegost , with this , you remove them  Converting armour and/or clothing from Skyrim SE to Skyrim LE , following the process of Paint.net and Ordenador

skin mod problem

This.

BHUNP has nothing to do with it. It's just body shape, nothing more. I do not know of any mods that would simulate body shading in real time. That just doesn't seem viable both from technical and performance point of view. I don't think there exists a computer able to simulate that within Skyrim in real time, plus run all the other things, like body and cloth physics, NPC behaviour and state and so on, flawlessly. And even if it does exist I imagine the game engine would just crash and burn after mere 5 minutes.

Far as I know, fair skin has a prominent shading in the underboob area, to emphasise breasts. It's there to mimic how this area would normally look in real life, especially when you look at your character from afar. In fact, all of the popular skin replacers have that shading to more or less extent exactly because of that reason. I don't use fair skin myself, but from what I remember having a look at it long time ago, the installer lets you choose if you want more or less shading in the underboob area.

But if you want to get rid of it completely, you have to either edit it out yourself or maybe ask around in futa and femboy threads on this forum. A bunch of people there use flat chested female characters with futa SoS addon to mimic the femboy look. I imagine they have a go to solution to get rid of that shading.

In fact I summon you, @FutaNemesislol as an expert on the matter.

Sorry, but I'm not very experienced in this, but I don't understand why I need to convert the mod for the Skyrim LE version if I play on SE? and why is it fixed in such a difficult way if I use a mod that is used by half of those who use skin mods. maybe I can just replace something? A lot of people use BHUNP and REALORE SKIN and I can't find posts with a similar problem :(

One  more thing I noticed about your post:

You are using two distinct skin mods. Use only one or the other as they will overwrite each other depending on your load order. In  fact, I had a look at Realore skin and just by taking quick glance at the screenshots it is blatantly obvious it does have a prominent shading in the underboob area. This is not simulated from light source, this is how this skin looks. So if you don't want it, don't use Realore, choose something else.  But whatever that will be, only use one skin mod at the time, not bunch of them together.

Why, isn't this thread in Skyrim SE Technical Support?

Ah i see thx for the summon. it actually has nothing to do with body shape as i see that there shadows are really dark compared to how normal shadows are. There shadows are just pixelated which is fixable

As summoned by belegost himself and as someone who has had this annoying issue the problem has already been fixed in another thread. Sense you used mo2 you are looking for the first reply https://www.loverslab.com/topic/97391-how-to-remove-pixilated-shadow-on-character-npc-100fix/

If you were to use vortex you would look at the last reply( my comment on the next page)
