It's just that he is so self inflated that he thinks he can do anything because it's "his site". But without any users, "his site" becomes nothing more than an over-glorified barren wasteland of nothingness. I agree that it needs to be replaced, but it also needs to be replace by someone that don't have a fucking ego the size of a Red Dwarf star. 1

Unfortunately, Nexus is large enough that getting users to go elsewhere is nexus to impossible. Yep bad pun and I am not apologising for it As there are no large competitors to Nexus, its difficult to get the ball rolling on this as well.

I mean I keep my account open simply for that very reason. It's the best place to get trustworthy mods that aren't filled with some sort of malware. Though I still wish a new, better, competitor site would rise up, so even I, can be done with that site. 1

The time to do that is past, barring a series of modable games. I recall having to rely on EA's modding site for the Dragon Age and Mass Effect mods and was happy to see Nexus jump in just in time for Skyrim (? or FO3, I don't recall which game it was that put Nexus on the map). Timing is everything.

The original name and address was TESNexus.com. They already had some Morrowind content but it was Oblivion that kickstarted the ballooning process.
