BTW sorry for not replying for so long. Not a problem, try fix from last page maybe it would help with dialogues missinf as jailer was also treated as guard.

MightRoDragon Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 When the guards come up to me they stare at me until I talk to them a few times, then they either attack me or ask if ill come quietly and cuff me. then they lead me to no where and im stuck there, in Whiterun this is where that one guy screams about Talos but theres no cages or anything there so I am stuck there endlessly.

Anonymous Sectoid Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 This mod is very promising, but right now it just doesn't want to work properly. First time trying it out, a carriage horse reported me at falkreath for a crime I didn't do, then I was sent to the cage that wasn't there. Started a new game with different set of mods, added this mod mid-playthrough, cages spawned in, but there was no reaction to crimes, but if I crouched indoors, everyone inside turned hostile. Started a new game again, but with this mod and the framework at the bottom of my load order, this time I got caught by the guards, moved to a cage, and the jailer came, so it seems like it was working that time. Immersive travel isn't as refined as something like POP's, it didn't want to work and just kept running into a wall. I have a few suggestions, report to jailer is a little bit unfun, due to how the clock works, I have to wait for the notification to pop up before I can talk to the jailer, IMO it's better if its report to him once a day, between 8am and 8 pm instead of something like just before 12pm. Quest markers didn't work too, so I had to look for him manually. Cages are a bit meh, since it messes with 3p camera, and in first person the bars make it so that you can't see anything, also making the player wait gets kinda stale after a while, I think what could be done is instead of a cage, you bind the PC, and have something happen to them, kinda like a POP lite. Alternatively, you could use bigger cages, and make it like a prison, where you sleep in a bed to skip time, up till an event happens, so it's more like Pama prison instead of POP since it gets rid of the waiting. A suggestion I have to give this mod more "content" is maybe to make use of stuff from Pama's prison, like the whipping post, So say you get arrested, you're sent to a cage, jailer comes and says you need to report to him, you see him the next day an pay the fee. The jailer will be in a random location corresponding to the punishment, so he's in the Jarl's palace, and after talking to him he punishes you for the Jarl's entertainment. Or say hes in the barracks, and the guards get to have some fun, or there's a whipping post in the market etc. This takes away some of the staleness and waiting, so the PC can do whatever they want as long as they comeback everyday, lets you put any punishment anywhere so there's a lot of variety. I think a cage event that would be cool would be like an npc coming up to you and offering to break you out for a "favor" or gold, or an npc coming up and complementing/ harassing the PC. Maybe someone has paid the jailor to bail you out, and you owe that npc. Maybe a bunch of npcs come to mock you, maybe a guard comes to have some fun before locking you back in. Whatever you add, a way to directly skip time (like sleeping in a bed in Pama's Prison) that takes you straight to the event would be greatly appreciated. These are just my suggestions, I'm really interested in how you develop this mod and I will come back to it when you update. 1

It's interesting about load order. while testing i place it at the end of LO. If i'll have more time i'll try to move this to other position. In next version i'm addding skipping cage sequence, additional event's would be added in steps for cage. Noted your ideas for jailer report expansion. I like it. Also the crime system was planned as bridge beetwen prison mods, so player can have it randomised.

I waited for seven days and nothing happenede. am i missing something that is supposed to happen. I have all the correct mods and everything else works except when sent to cage

Can understand that playing in normal Skryim the cage scenes maybe a bit boring if it's just standing and waiting, however playing in Skyrim VR is a much more immersive experience and the placements of the cages within Whiterun are in great positions that allow you to view NPC's going about their daily lives which can somewhat alleviate the wait. In terms of events within the cage I guess can be somewhat limited unless you're being taken out the cage for an event (but that doesn't sound feasible) so the interactions with NPC's maybe the only route ... ie: NPC's walking up and commenting at your situation. There was a great feature in Devious Framework where you were locked into a device (so in this case a cage) and you could call out to passerby NPC's which may or may not come and see what the fuss was about. At that point you could engage in various dialogue ultimately asking in whether you could be released which would usually result in you needing to offer a favour and usually end up not being released at all.. The other mechanic behind it (if you were following a master and were calling out) was that the master would react if they over heard and gagged you to shut you up with varying level of tightness (ie: being able to talk whilst gagged to extreme you couldn't ..) So in case of your mod whether you could incorporate ability to call out for help from passerby's at the risk of it being noticed by guard with various events being played out .. could be request for food/drink/clothing, for release (although unlikley to be given), a request for a lockpick which could result in NPC's helping the player or making their predicament more miserable (they could go off and tell a guard or give them food which isn't appetising .. dogfood etc..) Another event could be regular checkup's by guards .. which would have the power to open the cage of which a sexlab event could occur .. or even movement between the two cages in whiterun for example (asssume they are still both their and not a bug in my load order?) .. Checking that they haven't been passed food/clothes by players (or lockpicks for example) .. If found then maybe an increase in restraints to prevent infractions . Night time could trigger events .. again with passerby's as the movement of guards would be much less Maybe passerby comments and possible checkup's by guards could be an easy starter.

Lute Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 The new update doesn't seem to work for some of the crimes. For things like sneaking, or trying to use smith, etc, I keep getting warnings instead of any punishments.

DorkundusChungus Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) For me whiterun Jailer appears after waiting 2 hours in the cage, then they open the cage but nothing happens after that. Talking to them just restarts the arrest dialogue like talking to any other guard. I checked the quest stage for _adad_crimearrest and it said I was on stage 100. It's still linked in the Index… Would have been nice to keep it and just link to the new mod, this way potentially helpful information about the old mod is lost and people won't know what happened to it. Anyway, is this stable yet? I assume I can't drop it into an old save with Devious Adventures active? Was there a stable version of Devious Adventures on the old page? The old mod spams my papyrus logs with warnings, so I wanted to check if there was an update.
