Another is that the drive mechanics among other things more often than not make no sense on how they behave. You activate it or the enemy does just after it got hit by a drive impact by using a drive impact of your/their own, and it completely overwrites the former. Or you trigger a super and just when it's supposed to land on the enemy, they command grab you and is like if you did nothing at all the frame before, cause the command grab completely overwrites your move and ends up being the one that triggers the damage. Or how something like the Modern controls for certain charged-moves characters like Guile becomes totally useless.

 

I kinda understand why the game stopped having as many mods recently. It also happened to others like Palworld. With the big difference that I can hop back at any moment into Palworld and have a blast at it regardless how rusty AF I am. SF6 however, it just takes you to be a tiny bit out of peak performance to have your fun being ruined. And while that's true to a degree in pretty much any fighter. It's extremely noticeable in SF6. Since at peak efficiency you're only getting a "fair" fight. And not one on your advantage like in others like Soulcalibur or Injustice 2 you could have and it would make sense that it does lol.

 

Not too hopeful for season 2 if Im honest other than the modding community turning active again. Cause balance wise. We're talking about Capcom. One of those Japanese companies that still insist in believing that making BS hard games is the only way to have fun and like, I have better things to do than dealing with difficulty brick walls. Specially cause there are other games that being just as hard on paper offers much more options.

Sounds like a skill issue. 

 

Just level up a bunch. And yeah, command throws override drives and supers because if you miss a throw, you're wide open for punishment, so it's always a risk. Goes for any of those three. Drives and supers are supposed to be used pretty specifically, not just thrown around at random. Throws are meant to counter both of those, because the timing has to be pretty precise. And yeah, it is a little unfair as NPCs have the advantage of being able to know exactly when to throw you, but it's still workable.

 

If you're still really worried about stuff being too hard, find Juri and set Tensenrin as your main special attack. Back special should be a projectile (I personally like Air Slasher), and the other specials can be whatever you want. You'll cheese your way right through it. I was only at level 65 when I beat a level 90, simply because I used my projectiles wisely and countered with Tensenrin when they tried to jump over them, still took a while, though. Still, just find your comfy spot with special attacks, use them wisely, and figure out which style best suits you. It'll become much easier as you progress and level up.

 

You'll encounter lots of different enemies who are a much higher level than you are, so take your time. Eat the curry and fight thugs at night. You'll level up faster.

 

Either way, level up a bunch. In my eyes, the combat is very fine-tuned and does what it's meant to do.

I have the opposite take on this, one of my main issues with World Tour is that it felt way too easy for me

Which is also part of the problem of World Tour. Most of the enemies feel relatively easy to beat, but then you get some insane difficulty spikes like when you face some named characters, specially the main cast. I get it that facing masters should be difficult, but still that doesn't justify scenarios like the one I mentioned of you being level 14 and facing a master, being a master at level 25 while you're at 14, and again, without the full toolset unlocked by that time.

I'm not a 3D modder by any means, but let's just say that the amount of work that would take is enormous. Most of the legwear will change based on what shoes you're wearing, so one would have to replace every version of every article of clothing (and every combo you can think of) so that they all make it look like the character has no underwear (I'm guessing the pants would sag a little, the skirt would have nothing underneath, etc.). There are a LOT of clothing options in World Tour, so I'm gonna take a guess and say not many would be willing, even with payment.

 

Color me impressed if someone does take on the task.

The link to khalendantar666's deviant art has like different tiers for different body shapes and the bigger ones are locked behind the 50 dollar one so I was wondering if the one you commissioned is locked behind the most expensive tier because his basic tier is listed as basic body size and non nude mods and doesnt seem to have any free mods so I assume it was locked behind the highest paywall. Also 50 dollars for 1 mod is a bit excessive

"Premiere anime-styled fighting game"? Honestly, there are waaaaaay more games out there that are immensely more anime than this one. Perhaps Guilty Gear, or maybe King Of Fighters.

 

If you take a look at Street Fighter 2, you'll see the character design is extremely similar to SF6. They both definitely have Japanese influence, but the series was never meant to be an "anime exclusive" game.

 

Come to think of it, the only Street Fighter game that actually looks totally anime is Street Fighter 2 HD Remix. The rest after that are kinda in-between anime and other artstyles. Actually, SF5 doesn't even look like anime that much. So, 3, 4 and all the rest are kinda in that anime artstyle, but I don't really think this franchise is considered "exclusively anime".

 

Sure, this one definitely gives the characters more realism in appearance (especially compared to all previous titles), but that really doesn't make them uglier. It just makes them less cartoony. This one was obviously reaching out to a broader audience, and rightfully so.

 

Sorry if "not cartoony" is a turn-off for you. Broaden your horizons, pal.
