A little help!

Recommended Posts

Hola! Okay, this is going to sound stupid for some, but, we have all been there. Now It's my turn to be that newbie.

So, okay. Yesterday I installed NifSkope. Mostly because I was curious how some armours and stuff would look like. Before they get added to the game.

And yeah, I'm totally new to all this. It's my 2nd day. I know how to add FINISHED mods to the game. But I have no clue how to create my own. Anyway, I discovered that some things on armours can be removed but still look good in the game. So this little "discovery" made me want to maybe learn a few more things. So this got me thinking of an armour I really like alot. This one [ http://modgames.net/load/306-1-0-16207 ]

Problem is, you need her "Lady Body" for it to work correctly. Something I don't want to change to. So when I equip her version of the armour, I get ugly and mismatched colours on the back. The skin that is (check the screenshots ). So, I got this brilliant idea to use the same "skin part" from the original armour [ http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36431//? ] And simply just copy/paste the "skin part"

It didn't work. The mismatched skin is still there, and if I remove it completely, well, you get an invisible part of the skin.

You might ask, why I don't use the original armour. Well, because, my character all of sudden looks fat and I just like her version much much better.

I still think it can be done, but I just don't know how yet. It shouldn't be to hard me thinks.

So, is it possible? Can maybe someone point to the right directions? Or perhaps even do it themselves. I would forever be in your debt.

Ohh yeah, I have no intentions to release any of it. Just for private use ofc.

I don't think you can do this just using NifSkope

For the skin look OK you need to copy the entire Body NiTriShape from the original armor. But you will have horrible clipping issues.

Another option would be to assign a set of LB textures to this part of the armor. You need Creation Kit for that (you will also learn how the game uses the nif files and body textures). Here is a brief how-to with other body replacers:
