CK Zoo


I've been wanting to see more bestiality content for CK3 for a while now and whilst a few mods have added the odd event here and there none have been really focused on it.

 

Rather than sit here and moan I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring and attempt to make a mod of my own. This is my first attempt at modding I'm learning as I go so expect updates to be slow. Really all that exists right now is a single event to give you a dog and a long event chain for a married female with a pet dog. Both will happen on their own but can be triggered easily for those who just want to see the content, just turn debug on use the commands:

 

event zoo_dog.001 - to get yourself a dog

event zoo_dog.100  - to start the event chain

 

I do have more events planned and hope to eventually include horses, pigs, and maybe more exotic animals, in the mod in the future. It doesn't plug in to or require any existing mods and doesn't edit any vanilla files so I don't think there will be any compatibility issues with anything either.

 

Feedback or ideas for scenes are welcome.

 

Hopefully you guys enjoy what is done so far.

Oh? Try the new version, I think my screwed up descriptors may have caused it to not be detectable by your game.

Hmmm strange, I uninstalled my version, downloaded and installed the version that is currently uploaded and it worked perfectly.

 

Just for the sake of clarity you're entering it exactly as above or as in this screenshot?

It may be an issue with how it's installed if it's still not working. I can't think of any mod that would change how events work enough to make it fail

Hi, could I suggest that you make your canine interest modifier into a trait? That way, if you have the canine trait, you could upgrade it with experience and open up new random events. Or you could tie your mod to Carn and use the beastialty  trait. Have a good day! ?

Haha that's actually the plan, the modifier has three levels, and different event chains will fire based on which ones you have.

 

Currently, it goes:

Canine Interest
Canine Lust
Canine Worshipper

 

The plan is the final stage will be permanent, but the others will drop off after 20 years without an interaction. I may make the final stage into a full on trait but for the moment I find the modifiers are easier to work with and less clutter on the UI, the traits window can get pretty full with all the body trait mods on top of the regular ones.

 

There are also three negative traits that will lead to worse NC events, you get those by failing to resist the dog:
Canine Fear
Canine Victim
Pack Bitch

 

Again, the plan is to use these to fire event chains based on your level of submission/victimhood.

 

I did consider hooking into Carn and the arousal framework but as it's my first time modding I wanted to remove as many points of failure as possible, down the line I may go back and integrate them though :)

event zoo_dog.001 happens a lot even for male character. So when one dog died or got sold in royal court. Within 1 year that event got activated.

 Yeah, the first release had the event firing at most every year guaranteed since it was the only possible event for male characters, I've fixed that in the next update. And have more event chains ready to go, just holding off on the release until after the big patch when the DLC drops next week. No point releasing it now when it might be broken immediately after.

 

Until then I'll be adding more event chains and tweaking things.

Hi EdwardEl,

First off I want to thank you for acknowledging my small contribution.? Second, I'm enjoying the additions you made, however, I'm having a little weirdness with a couple of events. 1) the court gossip event keeps choosing my 2-3 year old daughters. 2) the intro to mean dog in the kennel event keeps firing but never progresses. I have had a couple of the other new events fire, and they seem to work fine.

Ah, haha I forgot to put an age limit on the gossip, it just looks for lustful or deviant characters in the court and if it can't find them it'll pick someone at random. That's an easy enough fix. The mean dog only has a follow-up on one route, if you already have the Canine Fear modifier, otherwise it's just a way that you can get a dog if you don't have one already.

Slowly, I'm just playing the game right now rather than making anything, enjoying the new features. My plan is to try and update once a month and I've put aside time next week to stop playing and add more events.

 

Currently, considering if I want to remove the modifiers and compress them all into a new levelled trait since that system seems just about perfect for what I want to do with this mod. It would mean I can do away with instant jumps and have different events give different amounts of exp to different routes. But I'll have to see if I can remove exp too since I don't want players able to go down both consensual and non-consensual routes simultaneously. Knowing CK3 just rewarding negative exp should work, but I don't know if it will allow you to de-level a trait that way rather than just reduce it to the next breakpoint. I'm likely going to have to spend a day or two experimenting before deciding which way I want to go.

@EdwardEl I haven't made a mod for CK3, but on the topic of trait EXP, the eager reveller trait in base game is an EXP trait with only one path. You could just make two traits, and getting one of them prevents the character from starting the other one, instead of sharing the same trait.

This is true, and may be a route I take, probably will be, but we'll see if I can't find a more elegant bodge to make it work the way I'd like.

Hi EdwardEl,

 

I was wondering if it was possible to make it so females only get male dogs? I think the base game gives a 50-50 chance of male/female pets. Just a thought, have a good one?

I would like to join you on this project. I was the main ideas guy/ writer for the CK2 wild party mod before it died. Do you have a discord I could join to directly communicate with you?

For what it's worth, I might have something for you soon. I was originally just doing some personal tweaks, but it's turned into a much more extensive overhaul. In order to feel like I haven't just wasted a ton of time, I might as well share if anyone else is interested. That being said, it's not quite ready yet, but hopefully soon if I can find the time.

Same here. Some of the event chains seem broken for me in this mod. Some events are like zoo_dog.016 and others are zoo_dog.16, but when I run them through console, only one of them works, the .016 one. So the dog licking event chains lead to the bandit one and spotting the courtier screwing the dog scene sometimes.

Right now I'm just trying to iron out some of the remaining bugs and checking for consistency ect.

But, I'll go ahead and tell you in advance what I've done.

 

I've adjusted the event firing chances as well as tweaked or removed many of the restrictions for events to fire.

I've allowed the AI to join in on the action.

Made the catching a courtier and suspicion events a little more consistent and logical. These will be the events that male characters can still experience.

Perhaps most impactful, I've allowed for possible pregnancy during penetrative acts. This includes the courtiers that are caught. I've tried to maintain as much immersion here as possible, but as of right now there's still a little bit that might take you out of it. Maybe not everyone's cup-o-tea, but that's the change.

Technically I've added a trait and modifier, but those are more of side-effects of the other changes.

So, going against the continual feature creep that was going on, I think I should go ahead upload what I've got. The main thing is that I'm a little unsure about the frequency of events because I've been having some difficulty getting things to work quite like I'd like them to. Beyond that, I've seen some other mods that allow for 2d portraits. It'd be good to utilize those to get a dog portrait in, but when I looked at the 2d mod, I couldn't quite wrap my head around it and gave it up for now.

 

I won't go into every little thing, especially since I already mentioned it, but one more important change I've since made is making the bandit event a traveling event that takes advantage of the new activities system. So, be careful traveling out there.

I see that the problem of some events remains, they either don't happen or result in a wrong termination. And I think we need to increase the number of events per year. Because the same event can happen again/
