little question : have you tried posting your stuff on rule34 ? it might get some nice attention :)

Yes I did. Was nitpicky with what I'm posting there to prevent removal. And I didn't get that much attention from there so I'm just posting things at other places.

doesn't harm to keep posting stuff everywhere, anyway hope you get the recognition you want with your art (it's not my style but it's p cool 👍)

I was very recently gifted a month's worth of "Core" on DA, so I decided to show some of my NSFW stuff behind a (very cheap) paywall, as required by DA.  What I found, almost immediately, was that while I was now allowed to do more intensive images, I don't enjoy producing them nearly as much.  Why?  Because I had accepted currency, and thus expected of myself to produce more because of that.  It didn't matter a bit that

1. The level of currency was literally the smallest amount they would let me charge and still call it "charging" for access to the NSFW stuff. Or

2. That I literally have a single subscriber so far.

The fact is that even for that single person, having accepted currency in even the stupidly small amount that I get (less than a dollar for a month's worth), I have felt the obligation to put more work in and give them something for their currency.

When it's a job, it's no longer fun.  I have now put WAY more effort into producing images of that nature than is warranted, and while it's still somewhat enjoyable, in no way does it pay for the amount of time I'm dumping into it.

I tell you all this to help you see the difference between doing something for yourself because you like it, and doing something for someone else because they like it (and will thus give you whatever currency you desire as a result - in this case "likes").

Oh, and I am well aware of how it feels to have acquaintances do MUCH better in the "likes" department than you are.  Favorites, comments, all kinds of kudos - and yet I get no feedback on my images, even when I have almost twice the number of people watching my stuff that the acquaintance has.  It's not a great feeling, but I have to remember the truth:

The truth is, I started posting stuff there not because I thought it was really good, or because I wanted external validation.  It was because I liked the images, and I thought someone else might like them too, so what the hell, I'll share them.  If no one else likes them, so what?

It's WAY too easy to get wrapped up in the "likes" war.  I know it's difficult, but you'd do best for yourself to make every attempt to learn to ignore comparing your own stuff to others'.  The only exception is if you are accepting currency from someone to do a commissioned piece, or, in my case, a subscription type service. When you are accepting payment, you are obligated to deliver on that payment.  Otherwise, you have no obligation to do anything.

To be fair, I posted NSFW art on DeviantArt in an attempt to get removed from it and was still there posting porn until I deactivated myself. They say that the staff doesn't exist or just doesn't care anymore.

Though I still believe DA isn't supposed to be a NSFW site.

I've noticed that about some of the stuff that goes up on that site - and stays.  "Uh, guys?  This is porn.  No question about it!"  But it's not my site, so if they don't care, why should I?

In any case, I've already decided that if I don't get enough people by the end of the month paying next to nothing to see that stuff, then I'm going to shut it down, remove the images, send them to whoever DID pay me for them (just in case they didn't get them already), and go on about my business of posting a LOT less often, for a whole lot less stress.  Then I can post the NSFW stuff here.  Muhahahaha!

Here's a surprise of a piece. A commission from someone involving a past character. Got help improving the shading from the commissioner.

It's "Illegal" drawing this oc but why care? Not gonna tell who the owner is, it's just a virgin that harasses people.

Made a small expansion animation on a very slooow computer with a character called Kea.

Why animated files aren't allowed to be added here is beyond me.

It sounds cliche but you have to be proud of your individual piece of art and that is really he only standard that really matters.

If you want to be popular then you have to give people what they want but if you go against your natural inclination it will come out fake and forced.

I have stared at my own work and thought it was perfection but in terms of popularity it completely bombed - and vice versa. It literally just happened to me today.

Your own sentiment towards the piece is the only true standard you can judge it by because fans are not judging it on merit, they are just looking for a fix. If it doesn't meet their subjective criteria then they pass it by. It's completely impersonal from their point of view.

My advice would be just keep going and carving out your own style gradually. Maybe you get recognition eventually, maybe not, but you will definitely have achieved something real...

And, I can assure you, you get used to the disappointment and it doesn't hurt as much after a few times. You know how to ride it.

Thank you. I have grown out of the problem a lot more than before and are happy with the little/medium amount of what I get from others. What matters is that I don't go crazy over getting a huge audience and ruin it later on. But getting reminded of it doesn't hurt.

Also my animation has been updated.

i really get a liking to your work ngl :)

just my 2 cents, but have you considered making your characters actually naked ? they always seem to be wearing underwears or similar, maybe it'll catch more attention if you expose their tits fully. also maybe try to work on the male characters a bit more, so they also get as interesting as your female ones

buuuuut in the end it's all up to you, if you like drawing them like this then keep going 👍 it's important that you like doing them first

(and lastly may I ask you to draw some of your girls grabbing each others ass ? don't feel obligated to accept haha 😅 )

I draw clothed charactters cause I might be too used to it, or it might be my fetish and I like the clothing better than nakedness.

But yeah. Thanks anyway. I don't do requests but you can ask for a commission if you wish and can.
