Help with slavetats AIO Windows Defender

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I just went to reinstall Slavetats AIO through vortext and windows started jumping up and down saying i have a trojan i cant get rid of it please help. i tried navigating to the mod and can not find where windows says it is manually. sorry if this is a little frantic and flustered i have never faced this before and getting my nerves under control.

can anybody verify if its the mod or if i need to look somewhere else for this

I clicked reinstall. Windows said i have a virus so i clicked remove. Then it said it again so i removed again then it said it again when i click remove now nothing happens and the folder windows says its in dosent exist. Is this a case of windows cant remove it because its not there but windows defender cant remove it so wont forget it?

I tried to download it again to try create the folder that it was in so windows defender could remove it but it gets deleted on download because of detected virus

I tried it just now and i'm also getting the same warning, it's either a false flag or an actual virus. I'm guessing it's a false flag though, i'm sure you know how to add files to the exclusion list in defender.

Call me old fashioned but you could try something radical such as using a search engine to find info on the trojan file.

Nah, that would be too logical. This is third decade of XXI century. Logic and common sense are not in fashion anymore.

I did google it. The main part of thos post was verifying that it was the file so if it is actually a trojan, action can be taken so others dont get it.

Of course you did. Then why didn't you mention it in your OP along with what your search revealed?

FYI the best place to bring up this problem would be the support thread for the mod.

ok so i managed to fix it. windows confused itself by detecting it twice and not clearing the second detection when the first was removed. so telling windows to let me redownload it and going to install it again let windows get it knickers untwisted. hopefully this helps anyone else who ends up with this issue and thanks for the help verifying it was the 1.6.4version and the 1.6.2 version is fine.
