Joining a scene?

I feel I should know the answer after all this time but I don't

 

For the SexLab experts - Is it possible to add an actor to a thread WHILE a scene is playing?

 

I would like to add an option to talk to an NPC while they are having sex and join them if their disposition is high.

Is that possible?

There is a mod that does this already.

Thanks for the tip.. I found the mod here and I will check the code to see if there is something I can reuse. 

The mod itself is too complex for my needs and I don't have an esp slot left for it in my load order anyway
