Child voices upgraded to Teen ager voices v3.0

What the mod does:

This mod changes all children in Skyrim to have teenager voices. It covers all three DLCs (may have skipped Heartfire if there's a children voiceset in that DLC. I made this mod for myself because I have the Skyrim Teens mod installed, but it only changes the children visually.

Installation:

The mod contains loose fuz files and no ESP is necessary. Copy paste over to your datafolder. Make sure you are asked to overwrite the subfolder "sound".

Conflicts:

Use these audio files on any teenager overhaul. It will only conflict with mods that alters femalechild or malechild in sound folders for Skyrim.esm, Dawnguard.esm or Dragonborn.esm.

FAQ:

I don't have all the DLCs installed. Do I need them? No. Loose files won't interfer with the lack of DLCs.

Can this be used on all versions of Skyrim (AE, LE, SE)? It is my understandig that the fuz works on all Skyrim versions. Hence why I didn't bother to archive the files.

Hmmm. It'll be great if a Teen voicetype mod with the dialogues duplicated for teen voicetype be made for selective use (especially for Fjotra) or for new Teen NPCs.

And just after I searched on the Nexus for some Teenager stuff & Googled around, you know what I find? A newly released Teenage Voice Type by triptherift (of Sassy Teen fame).

Not working for me - got it late in the load order (as it is only there for two days, and would overwrite anything else).  Children still have children's voices. Don't know why it isn't, as it simply overwrites the voice files. It is doing something - it silences the extra voices from other mods that make children say things - eg Amorous Adventures has dialogue from Mila Valentia  now silent.

It shows as overwriting three mods - USSEP, SSE High Quality Voices and the odd one Athmoor's Darkwater Crossing.

Do any of those mods alter their voices? Does it happen to all children? I haven't tested all the NPCs here, but Frodnar, Dorthe and Hrefna has their voices upgraded in my setup. Haven't met anyone else yet.

Not worked for me also. Maybe you uploades the worng file?

No I don't think so. I copy pasted the file content over my own folders. And the new voices are there.

I noticed that both you and Caithness is on SE. That should really not have anything to say..?

I got mixed feedback from people here. Some say it works, while some say it works now and then, while the third group doesn't hear anything.

I've checked the files, the paths are ok. The audiofiles are working. What I discovered is that I've not included the hearthfire DLC dialogues. So I've uploaded a new version including them as well.

Now that would explain why some hear mixed types of voices. It wouldn't explain why some hear anything, though. My only guess is that other mods are interfering in some way or another.

Still not working for me - just installed the latest version to try again - and ran up to the beggar child under the Gildergreen tree in Whiterun - and gave her a gold piece - she speaks but no sound. It is really weird as this is really just sound files, and I have checked to see they a) have the same file paths and b) are not being overwritten - they sort of have to be the right paths as they do have an effect - even if that effect is to silence the kids.

The only other mod that has the same voices is "SSE High Quality Voices" - so I have made a backup of its child voices and pasted this mods files into it. About to test

Edit - well - that worked - instantly noticed different voices from some teen npcs. The above mentioned beggar girl - had teen voice greetings etc but the actual conversation was still silent - but definitely working on others - good job

It works for me when using Vortex. For all I know, it could be due to the fact that the child replacer that I use has no voice files while others may come pre-loaded with them, leading to trouble with deployment order.
