ther1pper Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 I got a follower from someone that I want to covert into a preset so I can give them outfits but I don't have the preset. I also am not sure if they even have the preset themselves since the follower is as of now about maybe 6 years old, so I'm wondering if there is some backwards way of doing it. The only thing I'm sure I know about the follower is that they are using the UNP body or UUNP. I'm guessing the answer is probably no but I wanna see anyways.
SpyVsPie Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 (edited) Yes it's possible. Drag the body you want to create a preset from into OS. Create a new slider. Activate edit mode for the slider (by clicking the little pen so it turns purple). Mask the entire body (I go to Tool> Invert Mask for an easy one click way to do this) Go to Slider> Export Slider Data> Export as obj Now Open a new OS project, load a standard reference body of the EXACT same type as the one you're copying the shape of and drag the obj file you exported into the sliders section in the lower right. You can now use that slider to fit outfits to the follower's body shape. Edited December 27, 2022 by SpyVsPie 1

The characters weight is set at 80 and naturally the body_0 and body_1 have two different set-ups, so do I have to do the following steps you said twice or does it actually take in both weight types somehow?
SpyVsPie Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Just now, ther1pper said: So checking the body mod itself. Yes you'll have to do one for max weight and one for min weight. 1

Okay so I got both of them, I'm able to drag them in, I'm a little unclear on how to use both these OBJ's to fit it onto the body to make the preset fit at the 80% weight. Edited December 27, 2022 by ther1pper Adding more detail.
SpyVsPie Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Basically the two new sliders are the preset. Load up a reference body (I'll assume UUNP just for this example), import the sliders then add the outfit pieces you want that are already fitted to a UUNP base shape. Conform the outfit to the new sliders. The slider from the _1.nif will be your max weight, the one from the _0.nif will be your min weight. This is not a 100% perfect fix so some outfits may require a bit of manual tweaking in OS for best results. 1

Oh and just to be clear you want to EXPORT them as objs but when you import them you want to make sure NOT to drag them to the main window in OS (which will import them as meshes and turn them into nifs) but to the section where all the usual bodyslide sliders are, that will turn them into a slider that will change the shape of the existing nif. 1

Ooooooh, so you mean use max weight for the max weight outfit and the low weight for the low weight outfit and it will more than likely give me want I want with only a slight bit of error?
SpyVsPie Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Pretty much. The degree of error will depend on how close the new shape is to the default uunp shape and the nature of the outfits. If it has let's say giant quintuple G cups and you're trying to do a tight t shirt or something of that nature you're going to get some weird results. It's pretty much just like if you loaded a standard reference in OS, conformed all the sliders and then loaded the original preset. On some outfits that can work okay but generally speaking it will never look as good as starting with a uniboob reference shape or manually tweaking key sliders. Same thing applies here. 1

Okay first, I believe I have you on discord so can we try talking on their for faster communication. Next for some reason the outfit I am trying to modify won't change and I'm not sure why.
