So yeah... I don't trust pills, the entire 'medical establishment', or really anything or anyone associated with it. Started with a diagnoses of Bipolar, ended with a case of trauma. Kinda typical with the 'Legal drug dealers' these days.

Sounds really rough, you're a victim of bad diagnosis which is terrible luck. Try talking to a personal trainer/physical therapist/kinesiologist or a dietician about your weight problem, some people struggle more than others with their weight and a lot of it comes down to genetics so an expert who studies hormones can help you get a diet/workout plan that suits you best cause improving your body and hormonal balance will be immensely helpful in improving your mental condition (like NMN supplements + anabolic diets for example). That plus all the other stuff i mentioned before will make a very big difference in your life.

Good luck, i guess.

The diagnosis was accurate. As about 10 to 20 years back I was re-diagnosed as 'Bipolar 2(more depression less manic)' and CMI (Chronically Mentally Ill). But the shit I've had to go through because of it really didn't help anything. Or even make anything 'better', as those meds where suppose to do.

I mistyped, i meant prescription not diagnosis ???

But yeah i get you, just try to make a change one day at a time. There are quite a few things you can do to combat your situation and if you set your mind to it and get the ball rolling you'll see positive results. Life fucks you over sometimes, you just gotta get back up again and keep running. It all starts with the right mindset.

Well the prescriptions where also correct.

For the first one: What can anyone really expect to happen when your told you have to ingest 'battery acid in pill form'. And yes, it was Lithium.

For the second one (the one with the civil lawsuit settlement): It's just that the side effect was unknown at the time, hence the settlement. Though I got no piece of that, but still have to "live" with the side effects. This one was Risperdal. The lawsuit(s) can be read about here.

The third one: The weight gain was a known side effect. But it just hit me real hard. This one was Depakote.

Well lithium is now a tried and proven element that's used for all kinds of mental conditions, like one of my friends from college who has autism and anxiety. He was in a really bad place a few years ago so he was prescribed lithium and he's been doing way better ever since. The lithium they put in batteries is obviously not the same thing as the one in medication lmao.

Oh that's some spicy stuff, man it's crazy to think how little we knew just a few decades ago compared to now. Side effects from a drug for one thing becoming main effect of another drug for something else, how nice.

Yeah like i said, genetics plays a part in how your body handles certain things. That's also why some people develop serious health complications when they use steroids even though many others are just fine, genetics can be very volatile. Fortunately you can still reverse a lot of those effects through good hormonal rebalance so definitely talk to someone in that field.

As a Canadian I take great offense to saying this country is full of pussies, which it is not.  Canadians are some of the toughest, heartiest people on the planet, especially those that live outside the cities.  Go tell a farmer he is a pussy and tell us how it goes.

Oh, muffin. I meant the Liberal Party of Canada and its acolytes. Don't dwell on it too long, I'm just funning and this is all for entertainment. Also, one of my best friends is a farmer and I call him a pussy all the time. Then he calls me a little bitch. Then I ask him if I'm HIS little bitch. Then he'll say "yeah". Then we laugh. Occasionally we fuck. Roughly though, so as not to be pussies about it.

I realize that i never answered the original question of this thread, so here's something bizarre that happened last night and i just had to come here to share this.

I had a dream where Walter White is having sex with my mom XD and it wasn't just plain old vanilla missionary sex, it was full on kinky and very aggressive too. Then the scene changed to my backyard pool when suddenly 20-30 feet tall bipedal grizzly bears started climbing over our walls and attack the house but mom was sending them flying with anime-level kicks and punches and then Walter started to run into my house.

Funniest shit i've ever seen in a dream fr bruh, i laughed for a solid 5 minutes after waking up at about 5:30 today ????

I wish I had dreams like that. Even if nothing more than for the laughs.

Most of my dreams entail some sort of spider swarm crawling on my mother when I visit her house. It started off as 'daddy long legs' spiders. But the more recent dreams have made them 'black widows', tarantulas, and all of the other 'more deadly' spiders.

I hate spiders, and anytime I see one, I kill it. They just creep me the hell out. And these dreams of mine are just making me angry.

Why do you think I haven't been replying to any of that? I'm in the US, not Canada.

Man i will lose my shit if i had dreams like that cause i have severe arachnophobia, so much so that i actually struggle trying to kill them. No other bug scares me to that extent.

We know very little about dreams so there's no way to tell why we dream a certain way but so far research shows that your mood, health and the things you indulge in have a massive impact on your dreams. It was revealed that people used to dream in black and white more consistently during the b/w TV era compared to people who grew up with colored screens which shows the extent of how much your dreams are affected by your circumstances and daily habits. I also remember having more anxiety filled dreams in my late teens cause i was mentally in a very bad place (anger issues basically) but now it's consistently cool and wacky stuff with the occasional scares.

We know so little about our own brains and i find that super fascinating. Well, my brain finds it fascinating but yeah. Proper brainfucking going on here.

Aphantasia and dreaming combine very strangely. Definitely hard to put into words. It does mean that I've never had a nightmare though.(That could be any number of things off kilter in my head however)

Well I'm not really 'afraid' of anything besides 'people's bad decisions/choices'. But most of what I have found on the topic is about an 'overbearing/controlling female presence that one has a problem with'. And 'the larger the spider, the larger the problem'.

But well... I know who that could be, as well as the fact that there's nothing that can be done about it. Mostly because of the way SSDI and Section 8 Housing are set up, and their distrust of the ones requiring that assistance, so if/when that person eventually leaves this mortal plane; I'm basically gone as well. As I am forced to heavily depend on her simply because of the 'red tape dictatorship' that SSDI and Section 8 Housing's rules have in place.

As I said, I'm only afraid people's bad decisions. A set of programs set up to 'help those who are unable* to work', in the leader country of the 'free world', that easily fall into the definition of a 'dictatorship'. Go figure. As I also said in an earlier post; People who have a mental illness are basically treated like 'born criminals'.

*Unable. Not 'unwilling', there is a difference. Which most people can not seem to distinguish.

Ah so you prefer overbearing/controlling male presence instead, that's cool bro ??? But fr though you're not afraid of anything? So like you'll have a stone face if a big ass gorilla was running towards you with murderous intent? What about an angry viper? Honest question.

But yeah housing is kinda fucked right now, i'm still feeling the shockwaves from my house purchase a few years ago cause it was mad expensive lmao. Then the additional furnishing expenses and the new car recently just added extra weight, if it weren't for my partner helping me out i'd be so done right now.

Not exactly. I mean I get the joke; But that's not at all what I was meaning.

Nope.

I welcome death, with open 'loving' arms.

2nd verse, same as the first; I welcome death, with open 'loving' arms. Because for me, death would be a step up, from this solitary confinement and isolation.

Actually Section 8 Housing is a US government program that provides about half of the rent for those that qualify for the assistance. And the apartment must accept that program, as well as the program deeming that apartment acceptable. The thing about it is that the "assistance" is not nearly enough, and it has so many rules attached that while on it one is basically 'not allowed a life, lest you lose the assistance'. Or in other words: It's easier to be kicked off of it, than it is to apply to receive it, and it's not at all easy to apply for it.

The yearly forms are laid out in a way that are so confusing one needs a lawyer to to make sense of it. The yearly inspections like one was a child. Not allowed to have more than X amount of personal value in cash or other assets. It is quite literally 'enforced poverty', lest they kick you to the curb, and say "Tough!". Not allowed to have anyone stay with you for more than a few days unless they approve it. Not allowed to have a bank account at all. Not allowed to hold a car title in your own name. Not allowed to have life insurance valuing over X amount. Not allowed to win any money or item valued over the assistance sum itself. Not allowed to receive any external 'subsidies/help'.

There is a laundry list of enforced rules, and all because one is unable to work. As I said; It's a 'Red Tape Dictatorship', and 'literal enforced poverty'. And it's the same layout for SSDI (Social Security Disability Income).

Unfortunately 'Self Defense' against the police, is called 'Resisting Arrest' here. And that in itself is also a crime. Though yes, the police here do seem to get away with murder more often than not.
