It would only overwrite the textures, which is fine. Saying yes to all won't hurt anything. As long as it's at the bottom of the load order it should be ok.

Have you tried starting a new game with this mod installed?   And then doing save/reload? As long as Faster HDT-SMP and Zaz 8.0+ CBBE 2023 are installed it should work fine.
Is it immediately crashing when getting close to or placing a follower next to you? Or are you able to see if they have their "pretty" face or a durp face before crashing?
Sorry for all the questions just covering all areas.

Hmmm I'll wrack my brain on this and also ask around.

I haven't tested it at the bottom of my load order yet. I'll try. This has all been tested on a new game. I can test a save/reload. Faster and Zaz are already installed so I'll test them again with MoD at the bottom of the load order. It immediately crashes when I place a MoD follower next to me (e.g. Calia, Bianca). I could never see them before crashing (I back out of the command screen and the game immediately freezes followed shortly by a crash). Feel free to ask more. I'll reply again after I've tested the prior ideas mentioned.

Ok, put MoD at bottom of load order (except for patches made for non-conflicting mods). Tested a save -> reload on a new game. Same result (Freeze following closure of command screen, then crash).

Ok that eliminates some things.

Navigate to skyrimSEdata/meshes/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/!Maidens of Darkness.esp  and check to make sure their face meshes are indeed there.

If not go to the Basefiles of the mod, mesh/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/!Maidens of Darkness.esp  copy them and past them in;

skyrimsedata/meshes/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/!Maidens of Darkness.esp

After checking/pasting if need be, navigate to data/textures/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/!Maidens of Darkness  and check if their textures are there
If not again open Basefile of the mod, textures/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/!Maidens of Darkness  copy all of them and paste them in;
skyrimsedata/textures/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/!Maidens of Darkness.esp

It may be beneficial to do the above steps as for some reason the face data does not always get put in unless it's done manually

The next thing to try is, with the mod installed and turned on, turn off other mod plugins one at a time to see if there is a conflict. I'd save this as a last resort though.

 Oh I noticed that .esp folder is missing in the data folder when I looked in mo2 at skyrimse. I'm going to follow this method and test it out shortly after repeating the search process for textures as well. I hope it works!

Edit: Nevermind they both were present in the data folders (even tested replacing these with new files. Guess I'll give disabling mods a shot now. Let me know if new ideas pop up. This is some odd bug for certain.

Well last resort attempted. I only enabled MoD, it's required mods (and their required mods).  I had a a faster crash, due to the lack of mods, once I placed Calia at my location. I tested this a couple times just to be sure with no luck unfortunately. I can't imagine what's causing this, but it bother's me to think I can't use this mod while others have reported that they can. I guess the last thing I should ask is does MoD need bodyslide and cbbe enabled and built for the mod to work correctly?

Nope, it should work fine without those. Honestly, I'm stumped. 🤔
I'll keep plugging away to see what it could be, if I find out anything I'll let ya know.

Thanks for all the help thus far though! Hopefully the issue makes itself apparent at some point. Till then I'll just leave the mod disabled. :)

No matter what I do, I just can’t get the body textures to work correctly. I’ve tried manually installing the mod with no success, and even adjusting the maidens' position in my load order, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the skin textures to appear properly? I’d really appreciate any help!

Need a little more info. Are you using Vortex, MO2, NMM, etc.
Double check the body texture path, go to: data/textures/bianca/body   Make sure they're there.
Have you tried redownloading the mod? I've had this happen to me for one reason or another with standalone followers, the textures are messed up.
Another thing is it could be a conflict somewhere with another mod.

If all else fails, try "Bianca Body Backup" below. This is an updated version.  Just install, overwrite (yes to all). It has updated meshes and textures.

I’m using MO2 and have already tried redownloading it. I noticed some neck seams and experimented with a few fixes, but nothing seemed to work. Strangely, the fair-skinned textures worked fine, while the others didn’t. For now, I’ll stick with the fair-skinned option and maybe revisit the others later. I’ll also try the backup—thanks for the suggestion!

That is odd, hmm.
Glad one of them is working for ya. :)

Your welcome, and happy gaming!

Thanks for the help and quick replies! I stream, and people have been asking about the Maiden's Follower mod. Quite a few viewers from my stream enjoyed it and ended up downloading it. Thanks again for the support!

Cool! Thank you for sharing it on your stream! 😄
A lot more to come in the next update. I'm aiming for it's release around Oct 2025

After installing this (the 1.0.9a FOMOD from MEGA) and running into neck seam issue, I did some investigation and found that there are two problems:

First, in the FOMOD configuration (ModuleConfig.xml), for any skin option other than Demoniac, it's not actually copying the body textures to the correct location.

Correct for Demoniac:

<folder source="Skin Textures\Demoniac\textures" destination="textures" priority="0" />

Incorrect for Fair Skin/Diamond/Binibini:

<folder source="Skin Textures\Fair skin" destination="Skin Textures\Fair skin" priority="0" />

<folder source="Skin Textures\Diamond" destination="Skin Textures\Diamond" priority="0" />

<folder source="Skin Textures\Binibini skin" destination="Skin Textures\Binibini skin" priority="0" />

This means that when one of those 3 is selected, the skin actually being used is the one from the "base" folder, which from what I can tell is Diamond.  This is of course easily fixed by just changing the source and destination fields to the correct values.

A much bigger (and more time/effort consuming) problem, however, is that the FaceGenData NIFs are not using all the correct textures for the head/face.  I didn't check all 81 files, but out of the ones I did check, they were all using the default head texture1 (textures\Actors\Character\Female\FemaleHead_msn.dds) and texture2 (textures\Actors\Character\Female\FemaleHead_sk.dds) instead of the custom selected textures (textures\Bianca\Body\femalehead_msn.dds and textures\Bianca\Body\femalehead_sk.dds).  So this means that which skin results in neck seams actually depends on what default skin the user has installed rather than which skin they selected during the install process.

For testing I updated a couple of the NIFs to point to the correct textures from textures\Bianca\Body, and that indeed fixed the neck seams on those associated NPCs.

Thanks for the heads up!
The FOMOD has been less than cooperative on some things, at least with me anyways. I'll tinker on skins asap.

As for the heads, there are some vanilla heads which enemies use. These enemies are set to use the vanilla textures (though I may have missed a couple, I am human 😜 ) they're should be around 54 HP heads, it may be possible you got a vanilla head by accident but no worries I'll check them out they should switch to whatever texture bianca head txt is using.

In the new update their base skin has been switched to Fair Skin, for some reason it's easier to switch from this to other skins rather than Diamond than vice-versa and haven't seen it cause the dreaded neck-seem this way.

I forgot to upload the SSEdit fix so it will work on previous version of skyrim. Will uplaod ASAP.

All good for downloading now

For such a massive file, is there a way you could upload it to a different file host server? Mega always stalls out for me and when I refresh it sucks up half my "download data".  I don't want to have to pay $16 for 1 file.  I don't know if other's have this issue, but thought I'd bring it to your attention. I got this at 91% of my download lol
