Latest version of CBPC suitable for 1.5.97/2.0.19?

Title says it all.

I'm running on Skyrim SE 1.5.97 and SKSE 2.0.19, with legacy CBBE-3BBB (original ver) and BHUNP (original ver) in place.

Currently at CBPC v1.3.6, and I also have the ?old? CBPC 3BBB Advanced CBPC Performance patch installed, the latter a legacy CBPC addon install from when I was still on SKSE 2.0.17.

For the why.... I think I tried to update somewhere between 1.3.6 and now, but I had to revert due to some at-the-time unresolvable issue, back when I was still using SKSE 2.0.17, and it fell off my radar.

I'd like to get it up as far as I can for this game version and SKSE version, hopefully with the new collisions model in place (unless that only comes with 1.6x, which I presume requires "AE"

thanks for reading.

PS> the CBBE-3BBB and BHUNP versions... yeah I know. It'd just be so much f-ing work to update them, all the bodyslides I've created, (and Afaik, the associated Racemenu stuff) and their associated resources...

The current main file has an installer. Pick the version for SE 1.5.97 and SKSE 2.0.17-2.0.20. It works fine on 2.0.20, not sure why'd you hold on to 2.0.19 though, but most likely it'll work fine too.

Thanks for the reply Just Don't.

Fwiw, I hold legacy versions (including SKSE 2.0.19) because I've been bitten several times in the past by updating stuff by rote, (I've learned a lot over the past couple years,, but tbh, I still feel like a clueless newb hacking around in the dark in many cases), so I've gotten into the bad habit of just ignoring the updates in favor of my stable-ish game, outdated or not... So 2.0.20 works with 1.5.97? Thanks for that sidenote.

I'll try updating SKSE first just to make sure I have the underpinnings, (again, leary in general) and then use the latest fomod for CBPC.

thanks again. Sometimes I just need a little push in the right direction.

The only problematic SKSE release I've personally experienced was 2.0.18. Hence why 2.0.19 was released so quickly as a bugfix. And 2.0.20 works fine with 1.5.97 and most mods that work with 2.0.17 or 2.0.19 will also work with 2.0.20 (I've never had any issues with any dll made for 2.0.17 using 2.0.20 and I use a bunch of skse plugins, like easily I've used 100-150 different ones in the past years).

If anything just keep the old version in case you need to go back to it. Perhaps some settings changed so you might also need to look in your config files. But in terms of SKSE-CBPC compatibility, you'll be fine.

Backed up 2.0.19 and installed 2.0.20. "testing" now.

I'll also backup all my Collisions data ("txt" ini files) before installing the new ver of CBPC, because I think I customized at least some of them along the way. I presume Sinful CBPC will retain its values, but if not, no worries.

On a sidenote re: SKSE versions, I wasn't able to update to 2.0.19 for the longest time (about a year), due to some older mod (I'm still not sure which one it was), which didn't like it enough that I couldn't even get to the Skyrim main menu. Anyway, I either uninstalled the mod or updated it at some point, idk, because I tried 2.0.19 ~6 months back and this time it worked.

One thing I've noticed since updating to SKSE 2.0.20, (I don't know if it's related), but XMPSSE is now failing to store saved equipment locations (ie daggers on ankle vs hip, war axes on back instead of hip, etc)

I re-installed XP 32 skeleton (4.81) just to make sure, but it's still failing to hold the selected positions. One minute it's fine, the next it's reverted to default positions.

Could also be the XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - Fixe Scripts... I updated the skeleton from 4.80 to 4.81. so idk.  Looking around now.   Edit: update - nope it's not this one, even if I'm not sure it does anything anymore ("requires XP32 4.80")
