The problem is, the game doesn't have a sufficient logging mechanism, so it's very hard to tell at which point it crashes. If all else fails, I would try to find a pirated FalloutNV.exe that doesn't require Steam and try to run the game with it, at least doing that eliminates potential Steam related issues.

 

It's known history here that Pirated versions of the game have a lot of issues trying to work with NVSE & Sexout.

I cleaned both my Steam  and My Documents/My games New Vegas directories and reinstalled the game... that should have gotten rid of any NVSE files, I hope. I still crash at the same point as did before anyhow.

Did you also uninstall the Steam client? And what about the NVSE logs I mentioned earlier?
