Game doesn't save properly and goes back to previous time

I had an error during my main save where the game doesn't save properly, yet it doesn't throw any lastException file. When removing WW, I have not observed this error happening. To test why it was happening, I've removed every mod except for WW, MC Command Center and UI Cheats Extension, I kept theses two to help recreating the error, even running without them the error still happen. I'm running the game on 1.90.358.1030 and WickedWhims v170h.

 

At first, I thought it was just my sim that was corrupted so I played around with a new save, no errors showed up when saving. This sim was married to a werewolf so I added the werewolf in and it showed me 2 results:

• If the werewolf is in human form, after playing around for 12 sim hours and saving, no error showed up upon reloading.
• However, if the werewolf is in, well, beast form, after playing for the same amount of time, when I save and reload, the save went back somehow 12 hours ago.

 

So I created another new save with randomised sims : one human sim and one werewolf sim, and making them married. Using UI cheats to make the werewolf able to transform, and play for 12 sim hours, as said above, I also separated the two saves to make sure. Both brand new saves started on Sunday at 8 AM. The same issues ensued :

• If werewolf is in human form, saving then reloading the game causes no issue.
• If werewolf is in beast form, saving then reloading will break the save and brings back on Sunday at 12 AM (I think it's because there were no prior save to try to fix)

I've also observed sometimes, if both are sleeping, even if the werewolf is in beast form, saving and reloading doesn't cause any issues.

 

EDIT; So I've also noticed that the issue happens also even if both sim are humans. If said sims had sex during the game then the save break, but if no sex everything's fine. Even after reinstalling the game and restarting my computer + deleting the "The Sims 4" folder in My Documents, the issue still happens no matter what.

As I said before, the save issue only occurred after my werewolf sim had sex. By the way, he had always been in human form during the tests.

I have the same issue. I've been doing some testing today, and everytime I used a WW function (taking off clothes, having sex, editing settings) the game dit not save any progress. If I did not touch WW, everything saves normaly. I did report it under the feedback section, now it's waiting for an update I quess. It's a weird thing, but seems to be tied to WW from what I experianced. For now the only fix is either deinstall WW or don't use it.

I tested a bit more too and it seems that any WW action could potentially break the save. Even after playtesting a bit more, the issues are not only limited to werewolves. Looking at the log, I can't really see anything jumping out that would explain it, apart for the occasional "Sim is a mermaid, a robot or dying" except said sim isn't a robot, nor mermaid or dying. As said above, removing WW fixes the issues, for now we just need to wait for the next update, now that HSY is out.

I am having his issue as well, except I don't do any werewolf related stuff. It seems like something with the new update + WW makes the save file bug out

The last game update causes that problem so I wouldn't expect a fix for WW until after EA has another patch next week.

 

When you save over your older saves it can break them permanently.

 

Best to play around with a new save game so you don't break your other saves.

Honestly the latest game update was such a mess really, sometimes it makes me wonder if they even playtest their stuff before launching it, so many broken mods and the new "dreams & fears" system is such a joke to laugh at.

For the saving over, thankfully there's a backup system so I just used a previous backup of my main save. I also thought about that next emergency patch so I don't expect a fix for WW until then either.

For now, I'll play without WW on another save as I'm still discovering HSY.

They may not playtest enough but they don't use Mods when they do anyway.

Not that it matters because even Console Players have the same problems and they can't use Mods anyway.

 

Wants and Fears replaced Whims so it broke even more stuff.

Give your Teens the WW Post-Puberty Attribute

Click on Sim and select: Wicked > Personaliztion > Give Attributes

 

Then in Wicked Settings > Relationship Settings > Relationship Utilities > Adult-Teen Relationships: ON

I have had this same issue.  Sex animations are triggering it purely.  I just tested on a brand new save.  WW actually saves the state just fine as long as you do not perform an animation in the zone.  So if you leave your house without having sex it saves.  You just don't notice having sex at the club or w/e.

So I tried reinstalling the game, restarting my computer AND deleting the folder in My Documents, the issue still happens no matter what. I don't really know why it keeps happening, just that it must be from the game or WW, thankfully not from my computer (or that I'm aware of).

 

The issues just happens when there's sex happening during the game, if there's none that has started then no issue during saving. However, the same problem as I said on my main post, still happens with werewolves even when there is no sex. That is all I can do, so I guess it may be from the games' broken coding (yas... so UNEXPECTED).

 

If anyone find a solution, hit me up!

Yes I tested and replicated this issue with g, h and i.  Same bug of "the game cannot save properly after sex animation"

v170i still giving same issue with saves. Created a whole house, saved and came back and it was gone even with the latest update. Never even had the chance for a sex animation to occur. Thankfully saved it to my library, but yikes EA did quite the damage. Playing without for now, back to being PG13.

So with mods installed, if I use any WW interaction the game doesn't save.

The thing is, without mods this also happens when I use any quote on quote sex interaction (Woohoo or Try For Baby).

So yea it seems like its EA that broke someting.

As A side note: I tried multiple romance/sex mods, and it happens with all of them.

I haven't had this error on my side with vanilla woohoo, however there's a bug when trying to initiate try for baby, the sims just stand there and doesn't actually try for it, unless I reset them and the interaction queues up afterwards...

I'll test it more but it would make sense since they changed how woohooing works (those "woohoo-friends partners" aka sexfriends).
