Maybe even play using them. Reason is that if you for some reason forget to turn of automatic updates, then stardew might update. If that happens, then SMAPI would need to be updated as well. If you update SMAPI a lot of mods can be outdated or non compatible. If those mods are dll based (as many resource mod (dependencies or other mods) then you will have to just sit nicely and wait until someone updated both that mod, and all other mods that depends on it (if you use any of them. So if you are using (or are planning to use) many mods, then backup all your game-files NOW, so that you don't find yourself in that situation that the mods stops working. If you are sitting there and thinking that: those mods that i have now should work without problem the next time i update SMAPI, because it is a minor update. You're WRONG, as SMAPI has a blacklist, so it could say that mods are not working, even they could do so.

Yiggityyo420 Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 (edited) this mod just came out recently, if somebody had the motivation and know how to make an addon for this, seems like it might have some of the work already done. specifically it adds male counterparts to each type of animal. im not sure how in depth they are planning to go with this, but if they ever add breeding animations it would not be tooo difficult to adapt that into having the player involved. im guessing breeding animations are not part of their plan though and somebody here would have to make em https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/13974?tab=posts Edited October 21, 2022 by Yiggityyo420 5
