Pamatronic Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) I´m currently trying to get a normal actor to look like an chopped of head. So I went and made an empty outfit that just covers everything but the Head/hair/.... but unfortunately, the Neck is a part of the Head and always remains visible. Spoiler So my question is, How can this be done? How can I hide the Neck so it looks like this? Spoiler (This is an actual Decapitated Head) Just equipping the Headgore.nif will still leave the neck visible. I did some reading about skin partitions, and I think the answer lies something there. acording to this entry : https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/530086-nifskope-bsdismemberskininstance-partitions/ the Partition "SBP_230_HEAD" is the partition that covers that part of the Head. I opened Up femaleHead.nif with nifscope and sure enough. It has a partition with this name, and they seem to cover the Neck. So If Im not completely mistaken, In order to hide that part of the headmesh, I have to equip SOMETHING which also covers that partition, right? I tried modifying this the headgorepart decapitatedheadgorehumanoidfemale_1.nif, and changed its Biped slot from 150 to 230, but this didn't work. Spoiler The ArmorAddon entry in the Ck was set to 30-Head and 50-DecapitatedHead For the Armor Entry, using every slot but the Head looked identical to the first pi i.e, had no effect. using Every slot caused everything but attached nif to go invisible. I have seen people doing this before, so I know its possible, If any kind soul knows something on this topic, I would be eternally Grateful. Edited July 22, 2022 by Pamatronic 1
Tlam99 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Check the armor of the headless rider. This one hides head and neck.

You could create a head diffuse and make the corresponding part transparent. Then use it as a texture set in the CK. The problem is that the head is not closed at the bottom. You could create a mesh for that. Possibly as a fake helmet. Just a rough idea.
Tlam99 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 The gore part, what is attached instead head, if npc gpt decaptivated. Find this, open in outfit studio and make it using e.eg. necklace slot and set the level of transparency to 255.
Andy14 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 After all, it's still a normal NPC with race, shape and facial expression morphs. It would be interesting what happens with the morphs that do not match this mesh.

Thats sounds somewhat feasible, but it would probably result in the visible parts of the defuse texture being different from the charaters actual one... Is there some kind of sysytem which allows for usage of texture masks?

You can cover the neck with a bloody bandage and close it at the bottom. That should solve the problem quite believably.
bnub345 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Outfit studio lets you create zap sliders to hide parts of the body you don't want to clip. Maybe that would work to remove parts of the neck you don't want.
