I still use NMM (fan edition) but I see everywhere people saying that MO2 is much better, but I'm lazy to re-download my 485 mods, is it really better ?

or it is not MO2 but another mod manager which is the best ?

thanks for any reply, and sorry for this eternal question of which have the biggest weiner

It offers different settings and features. If you're not willing to learn about them it won't be better. It will be quite the average and unfamiliar experience so you'll be prone to make more mistakes.

The same applies to any mod manager.

There will definitely be a learning curve, but I made the jump from NMM to MO1 and then MO2 several years ago and I'm extremely happy with MO2.

MO2 gives you a lot more control and I think it gives you a better idea of how your mods interact than NMM ever will.  For example, let's say you're using NMM, and you are installing Mod B that overwrite part of Mod A.  NMM will ask you if you want to overwrite, but afterwards you have no way to see or know what is overwriting what.  MO2 makes it very clear what mods take priority over other mods, and easy to adjust by just dragging mods in the left pane.

I have never used Vortex so I can't compare to that, but again, I'm much happier with MO2 than I ever was with NMM.

As one of few people that has used both mo2 and NMM and still chooses to use NMM; even I suggest to use either mo2 or vortex instead. You will probably get more support if you run into technical issues if you use mo2 though. I only use NMM because I specifically want both a virtual install and files to be installed in the games folder path and I actually like the UI the best because its not full of extra features.

You will, in my opinion, get a better experience out of vortex or mo2. NMM is really only useful in a case like mine where I specifically don't want anything in a mod manager other than a plugin list, the files to install, and a few tools. I still have to run dyndlod from mo2 though so I guess I technically use 2 mod managers.?

You get lots of extra features with mo2 and vortex though that are good for new modders. As far as "the best mod manager" that's subjective. As I said above you will probably get the most helpful technical support if you use mo2.
