knight133 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I love to see some the lovers mods going to skyrim, Plus the loversborn2 mod to skyrim, but is it possible to convert some lovers mods?
Guest Donkey Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 no.. have you forgotten about obse ?? tes isn't advanced till obse made it so.. even nifse for new vegas can't do what obse can. we have to wait till obse be ported to skyrim, witch will take a very long time to do.

erc1971 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It just gives you time to play the game vanilla at least once before you start your modding adventure. Eric
EvenstarGW Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Tip, don't uninstall oblivion just yet, if you like your lovers mods Pretty sure Skyrim will get its own lovers treatment, just gonna take a few years to get it off the ground. Skyrim wasn't built in a day, and neither were the lovers mods.
Eugen0001 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 let them relaese the mod tool first so we can see wahts phase with the scripts. when there is a way to translate it without bigger trouble i am sure the modders will transfer some of the existing ones.
hardflip Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 i think there is no rison to convert script mods from oblivion to slyrim. only meshes of clothes weapons maby. Skyrim have regdol, improved mechanics and different skript system (last do not shure). most likely we will need to do complite different animation for Skyrim's "Lovers".
Symon Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Apparently, Skyrim does not have .kf files. It uses 'Havoc Behavior' files, so any port might prove quite an undertaking.
Tom21 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 It wold be Ezer to convert "Fallout: New Vegas" Mods Over then "Oblivion" Mods!
knight133 Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 ALL RIGHT, this idea is bad SHOUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drugas Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I think it will be best to start completely from scratch even if it can be ported. Lovers is a pretty nasty mess for organized expansion, and my understanding is Skyrim has certain tools that make establishment of partners and tracking of it possible. This can probably be expanded to a much more robust and effective system than what Lovers had to cobble together.

I agree that it will take a LOT of time till modders will have created modding tools tailored for Skyrim alone. It might be worth it and it might be not, depending on the capacity of the engine itself. Oblivion 5 years ago was like "rotfl wtf is this?!" comparing to "modern" games in terms of graphics. Modders crossed that gap and improved Oblivion to an extent that it can easilly compete with other games in the eyes of an everyday gamer. Conclusion, let's give the game some time, simply .
lolicatgirls9 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I don't expect to see Lovers in Skyrim for at least a year, likely more. However, I do expect to see Modular Beautiful People and x117 Race in a few months. And that's something I am eager to see. And then hopefully we can get a Skyrim version of From 2ch Lives, which I really like for the additional NPCs that walk around in the game world. I think it's From 2ch Lives that does that, is it not?
stallion74 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 hey guys great job on all ur mods i was just wondering if someone would plz make a skyrim xlovers mod cuz skyrim makes oblivon look like crap and i have been playing oblivon for like 4 years its kinda geting old lol
gregathit Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 stallion74, sorry about your luck but it WON'T be coming out for one hell of a long time. 1. There is no construction set released. 2. Nifskope has to be updated to work with the meshes. 3. Here is the REAL biggy - OBSE has to be updated with the new codes and commands. 4. All of these things and more have to be done PRIOR to starting to port lovers. Could be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years..... I would look into some more mods for oblivion, enjoy vanilla skyrim or grab another game..........
Drugas Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 A much more request would be "Please someone create a sexual mod for Skyrim." but Point #1 still applies. Just be patient, in a year or two you'll see some good ones out there.
Dreamer102 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Tip' date=' don't uninstall oblivion just yet, if you like your lovers mods [/quote'] I ain't EVER uninstalling oblivion! (Mental note: Backup data folder) I just got it running perfect after uninstalling "Hentaimania"...the source of my crashes every 4 minutes.
Nightwynd Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I doubt there is going to be anything on the level of Lovers anytime soon. Consider how long it took the modders to get everything done for Oblivion. I think Lovers really took off during late 2010.
nekomimimeido Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 i think i'll be on druga's side on this one. it's mostlikely gonna be all from scratch to be custom tailored for skyrim. Gonna take a few years, but i expect it will be worth it.
alexandrox Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "I got bored and uninstalled it" Me too, i unistall skyrim... bored me in three day, oblivion whit 4 years mods is better... skyrim need a lot of mods: it's all.
Guest Donkey Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 To me it was the other way around, i uninstalled oblivion. now i have plenty of room for a real game.. Just waiting for modding tool to be released, so i can do some magic.. This game doesn't bore me and doesn't crash.. all plus now..
Dielos Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I hope actually, and with luck, that Skyrim's modding starts up faster. If I heard correctly, the new scripting might already include some OBSE functions or something similar. If that's true, then the biggest problem should be more the animations, as they are different and include havoc. But I think that Nif tools are making progress fast (blender plugin might be another issue). But for that, and if I understood correctly, the new animation system should make it easier to create new animations. Once they start rolling, and if what I hear from the scripting is true, then placing them in game shouldn't be so difficult. We even have an integrated animation cam (used in finishing moves). So, with some luck...
Ryu Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'm actually a bit suprised that Bethesda hasn't released a basic modding tool like a Construction Set of some sort already, alongside Skyrim itself. I'm sure they're aware of the plethora of mods that have been made for Oblivion and added years of playability to the game, giving players countless reasons to buy Oblivion (provided that they haven't done so slready). A Skyrim "special edition" with a Construction Set provided (even if it's free to download) would increase sales for sure .
gregathit Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I am really not all that surprised at the delay. After the multitude of game breaking bugs that FNV had it appears that Beth put a little more effort and energy into releasing a fairly stable game this time. If the cost for this is a delayed CS then it is WELL worth it! Additionally I am guessing that they are waiting\wanting feedback from gamers on what bugs that made it into the release for a big patch PRIOR to issuing the CS. Once the CS is put out then tracking down whether the bug is a vanilla vs mod added becomes just a little more time consuming.
Iatrolia Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 on the topic of stability, i sometimes(once 30min to 1 hr) have skyrim just suddenly shut down. No warning or any kind of error message.. not really sure why, doesnt really bother me tho, auto save system improved a lot over oblivion.
