NPC Clothing Replacer Causing Crash Near Whiterun

I keep having a crash when I near the Whiterun Stables.  I've narrowed it down to NPC Clothing Replacer.  However the crash still takes place when I stop the mod in the Mod Configuration Menu.  As such I don't believe its an issue with an armor the mod would be adding.  Any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

Deactivate the suspect mod in your mod manager then try with a new game.

I also use the mod for changing clothes and it gives no problems.

Whiterun is known to have CTDs in some places. Not only near the stables but CTDs can also be found in Riverwood. Try this fix

Grid Transition fix didn't work.

 

The game runs fine when I disable the mod, problem is its' somewhat integral to the playthrough.  Is there anyway to go about locating what specifically is causing the crash and then fixing it in zEdit or something similar?

Maybe it would be a good idea if you tell us which mod you mean - possibly with a link.

As for your other mod.
hdtHighHeel.esm is completely outdated and very script intensive - you shouldn't use it anymore. High heels are implemented using Nioverride (included in RaceMenu).
Did you let LOOT check your load order? At the end of the load order there should be alternative start and merged mods, no armor replacers.

The mod causing the crash is the NPC Armor Replacer https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/96419.

 

When I disable NPC Armor Replacer it runs fine. 

 

Did a LOOT check and that's approximately what came out.  I moved up the merged NPC mods to avoid a grey face bug.
