CGIncubus Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) Final Edit: Solution (kind of) - So I just decided to uninstall FNIS after multiple efforts to make it work, and decided to use Nemesis. I think some mods broke, but it seems to be mostly working which is good enough for me. Thanks for all the suggestions. Edit: I disabled MoreNastyCritters and Animations by Leito because FNIS was telling me they weren't compatible with SSE Edit2: Ignore the disabled FNIS in the images, I was testing things. Edit3: I disabled all mods and cleared the overwrite and it's still T-Posing. Not sure what's wrong anymore... Edit4: Very sure it's FNIS now. Reinstalled Skyrim on a clean slate with only Unofficaly Skyrim SE Patch, Alternate Start, No intro for SE installed for testing purposes. With FNIS not installed, characters walk fine. With FNIS installed and ungenerated/generated, T-Pose persists. anjenthedog Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Why do you suspect FNIS? The report shows no sequence errors, the skeleton *appears to be ok (at least at first glance), and the animation count is even still low. I see no issues with FNIS in this case, at least from what you've presented.
CGIncubus Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 Just now, anjenthedog said: Why do you suspect FNIS? anjenthedog Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) FNIS shows no evidence of error. So your problem stems from something else. Most likely 1) one of the animation packs is LE and ... almost ... slipped through (rare but happens to players with enough frequency to be notable) - not scolding, or lecturing, but always make sure Anim packs are for SE/AE qualified. LE animations cause trouble, even when they are able to install and even when the game fires up anyway. 2) another mod is "having issues" (your guess is as good as mine I'm afraid) widenet searches like "skyrim special edition AE <naem of a mod> problem error, ctd" can help 3) wrong version(s) of some mod(s) in your list for Skyrim 1.6x (1.6x and 1.5.97 mods don't always play well. Many posts on problems like that) - make sure that you pick the right version when offered. Nexus, for instance, when you use the vortex download link, often picks whichever version is most recent, even if that version isn't suitable for your particular installation. In addition, even ignoring that, we all tend to accidentally pick a wrong version out of a multi-choice download list at one point or another. Shit happens. And make sure if no "AE" (skyrim 1.6x) version is offered, that you are "suspect" when installing it, ready to uninstall if any problems crop up, and backtrack on a save train to before it was installed if possible (once its's uninstalled), to eliminate any potentially game-compromising "baked in" footprint it might otherwise leave behind. good luck. Gameplayer Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) He could be using DAR In that case T-pose will eventually go away as the rest of the animations load into the games memory, it can take several minutes. Its pretty simple, if you are using DAR based animation mods you would know because you downloaded them. These dont show up in FNIS or NEMESIS, they use Dynamtic Animation Replacer....An animation framework The animations which well there are quite a lot of them, if you have several of these replacers it can take a few minutes for all the animations to load into game memory during which time all actors calling on them T-pose instead. anjenthedog Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Hmm... well, possibly, (and good thought. I totally overlooked DAR issues), but I don't see any DAR overtly noted in the OP's mod list.
yorpers Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Running creature anims without creature pack installed, perhaps? I figured that would cause ctd, not t-pose, but I've never tried it myself.
ttts1 Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 (edited) It sounds like OP has given up on this but I did want to make another simple suggestion. FNIS file locations may be improperly mapped as it relates to your mod manager. That is, the outputs may not be going in the correct location. If that is the cause, FNIS would show no errors since it (correctly) doesn't see any. But if the mod manager is looking in another location for the outputs, then all those correctly installed animations are not being found when other programs try to find them. Not saying this is the problem, but it is a possibility. FNIS has outputs that need to be aligned with the mod manager somehow. I had to manually do mine. Edited June 29, 2022 by ttts1
