addictedude Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Hi! Im considering moving to se, my game have ~120 mods. Sometimes game getting ctd when playing in full screen, and i have to completely restart pc. I heard SE is more stable. Main reason for playing skyrim is adult/sex gameplay. There is similiar amount of mods for SE? My Pc specs : OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3,20GHz RAM: 8GB GPU: XFX RADEON RX 580GTS XXX OC+ 8GB GDDR5

I think LE is capped at 30fps and SE either removed or increased the cap to 60fps and it looks like you machine can handle it high to ultra depending on aesthetic mods you install. If you don't mind having to reinstall all your mods and finding SE versions of them then I recommend switching to SE because LE will inevitably become unsupported by mod authors sooner than SE in fact I have seen some mods that are made for SE and are not planned for LE releases. That is of course if you are very inclined to using mods but at this point I think very few people still play unmodded skyrim.

I don't mind reinstalling mods. I will definitely try se, always can go back to le

You'd think they would make overhauls creation club mods that makes skyrim's mechanics up to date with modern games like maybe SkySA Combat

I will definitely try se, always can go back to le That describes every Bethesda game installed only relying on their official bugfixes. I installed SSE and it crashed shortly after. Don't think I was 5mins into the game and it crashed. Uninstalled it. Because it's not special. The 64bit doesn't magically make all your problems go away. I saw it as a waste of time and made the right choice to stay with my stable LE.
Zaraia0 Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 The big problem with I had with LE is that it's limited in RAM usage, so if your mods consume more resources it will get unstable and crash a lot, regardless of how powerful your system is. SE should fix that since it's 64 bit, but I never tried it.

SE should fix that since it's 64 bit, but I never tried it. With ENB memory management you can get around that now as MS released a fix awhile ago to get around the Directx9 limitation I dont want to get your hopes up, but "Windows 10 DX9 VRAM Allocation Fix maybe incoming" But yeah with SE you don't need the ENB memory management to do that so its just to make stuff look pretty
