pandabear Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I couldn't see a topic like this, so I figured I'd make one to help fill the 6 hour void ahead of me. I will play as either a Dunmer, Altmer or Orc. In other words, it can go either way as far as playstyle goes. I'm really not sure how I want to fight yet, but if you can turn invisible and have silent spell casts, the Altmer appeals to me. I never did play a mage character in Oblivion, but this time around, I think it could be fun. The Orcs have a solid racial, and I've always favored close combat types before. Then there's the Dunmer, their racial sounds cool, and I think one would make a good hybrid or be a decent base for any playstyle.
Mouse Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I have usually played Breton, so I might play one this time around as well. But it might just as well be Nord, Dunmer or Imperial... depending on my mood.
Irishredneck Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Orc. Big. Strong. Bad tempered. Swinging a hammer the size of a child. And (as usual) I'll name him Ogart Gro-Malik.
D_KNIGHT_PEN Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Khajitt or Argonian just because they supposedly (from game informers mag) look like awesome characters. If not that then one of the elf races.
Zeroda Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Just took Nord! Plain and simple warrior run this one.
Mashi Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I usually play breton or altmer as my favorites. Still undecided as it is.
Siouliusn Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 As usual in TES, a dunmer x) Mainly warrior with some destruction magic.
pandabear Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 I ended up making an Altmer, love the upgraded spell effects. Thank god for VPN clients.. I couldn't wait 'til midnight.
kasimir Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Argonian ofc. A dragonborne should look like a Dragonborne, eh?
sora3 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Most likely an Imperial Dark Knight so plenty of magic of the dark types but still be able to dish out hard hits! And as usual, I'l name him the standard name I've given to all my TES characters which is Karl Franz Lichenstein.
Waryable Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Will use a Bosmer for first walkthrough. Instead of normal stealth-oriented character type, it will probably be a knight. Backstabbing knight.
Med111 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I was going to play epic male Nord warrior, but after reading few reviews saying, that stealthy character is more than viable, I'm leaning towards Nord huntress-rogue. I will check out by the way, if Bethesda learned how not to write genderless dialogues this time.
Rhavik Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I'm definitely going to play Khajiit, they're my favorite race and I've played on in both Morrowind and Oblivion (and one for a while in Daggerfall). Probably gonna go for dual wielding warrior, typically I've always played as a mage but... whenever I had dual wielding weapons in Oblivion I always used that over anything else.
demongoat Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 i will make a argonian this time around! my necromancer from everquest one and two will be reborn in skyrim! he may not be an iksar, but argonian's are pretty darn close. Tolm will once again plague the world again!
Eyrika Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I really can't decide.. I guess it will come down to how they look in the character generator. I've never played a dark elf before, but I think I might. I like drows.
xartom Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Think I might play a Nord battle mage or rogue for the first play when I get a hold of Skyrim.
Guest Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 My first playthrough will be a nord (male or female) as that kind of seems "fitting". Actually Argonians look like dragon-people-dudes but I'm not sure... My next playthroughs will be of the beasts races, and the dunmer. Argonians and Dunmer are so badass in Skyrim!
gregathit Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 My Nord warrior is getting limber up to tackle the world in just under 1 hour.....beware....he comes!!!!
Kashked Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I'm going with a nord traditionalist. Big guy using big weapons.
Babychucker Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I was going to play epic male Nord warrior' date=' but after reading few reviews saying, that stealthy character is more than viable, I'm leaning towards Nord huntress-rogue. I will check out by the way, if Bethesda learned how not to write genderless dialogues this time. [/quote'] Yeah Nord Rogue ftw
Med111 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Light armors in Skyrim are outrageous (Thieves Guild armor here).
erobyracs Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Went a Nord, going for a stealth/archer/assassin type character.
DBSS99 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 My Skyrim Dragonborn Character is a Female Argonian Battlemage/sorceress although My next character will be a Female Orc badass tank from hell
Zeroda Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Well This is my Nord i was talking about: Thoras, Dragonborn!!! *plays Skyrim theme song*
