littlekittykat121 Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 Hello! I'm not sure what exactly this error means. I keep getting it while loading into a fresh save. As far as I know, both the SKSE SE version, the Sexlab Framework version and the Skyrim SE version is all the same. Can anyone help me out here??
anjenthedog Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 If you provide details, I'm sure someone can help you figure things out. But vague complaints (no offense, intended) are far more difficult to help someone with. To start, you might want to post a load order to a spoiler tag (the eyeball icon next to the smiley face icon in the text editor) the load order can be found (normally) in your /AppData.Local/Skyrim Special Edition/ folder As well, your skyrim version would likely be quite helpful, in fact, almost critical right now, since there are two versions of SE currently being used by members of these forums. And the error as expressed (verbatum) in the popup or other modal box that you're seeing. best wishes
Gameplayer Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 Well it might be an easy solve, How about you let everyone know exactly what version of the game you on? SkyrimSE is different beast from SkyrimAE (which is exactly what you get unless you use a downgrader program or a downloader program both on Nexus and both work throught your Steam account so legit.) Next we will want to match up SKSE with your version number of Skyrim. Then we want to know if you got Sexlab Framework for SkyrimSE or for SkyrimAE which are both actually provided over on the same download page. Then we want to establish if you have accidentally overwritten the Papyrus Utils by placing it above Sexlab rather than under it in MO2 or Vortex, better explanation this is not Load Order of ESP this is installation order, you install Papyrus after installing Sexlab. Actually, Order of installation goes like this, SOS Sexlab Papyrus Utils Perhaps a small explanation of why this matters so much, Both SOS and Sexlab contain script records that are not up to date that overwrite Papyrus Utils if they are installed after Papyrus Utils, this can have detrimental effects including Sexlab just not working right. If you installed in that order that should be good to go. And finally, the version number of Papyrus Utils may in fact matter, although I have not messed with it for about 2 months I seem to remember having to install an older version because I was on SkyrimSE and not SkyrimAE. Thats about all I got at this moment shooting from the hip from memory. The above is mostly the issue of end-user having not properly installed these mods correctly and well given the different versions of SkyrimSE and SkyrimAE it can be expected that it will be a common enough problem. When you have identified that the above is all accounted for and your still having an issue, please say so and provide more details on your problem.

The error message seems self-explanatory - the SexlabUtil SKSE plugin your Skyrim is expecting is not the one it is getting. The solution would appear to be to install whichever version of SLU is the correct one for your Skyrim. The SLU support thread would have been the place to ask about this.
