DocClox Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I had a sex scene abruptly terminate and a notification appeared that I'd just been infected with something. There's no visible statuses in the PipBoy and visiting the doc didn't pop up any options for getting cured. Does anyone know where this is from? I'd really like to disable it. I'm not running survival, and I don't really want diseases, sexually transmitter or otherwise to be part of my game.
Vyxenne Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 A game-generated notice of character infection should not terminate an ongoing scene, but a fake "computer infection warning" certainly does- it interrupts anything you are doing with a non-cancellable "infection warning" directing you to their sketchy website to sell you fake anti-malware software (lol) or trick you into giving them personal info. They are not talking about game-character infection, they're talking about RL computer infection. Is it possible that's the kind of infection notice you got?
DocClox Posted May 28, 2022 Author Posted May 28, 2022 This was definitely a game generated notification. As in a line of text at the top left of the screen. I'm assuming it's from some mod. I have a few that have just been updated after a year or so in Skyrim, so there's plenty of scope for unexpected behaviors popping up. If it had been from my computer OS, I'd be busy running rkill and malwarebytes :)
Invictusblade Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 if it is Fallout 4(This is the thread for it), then maybe it is Family Planning Enhanced Redux because I have added simple STD's to it. but they should only occur after a sex scene is finished. also it shouldn't have caused the sex scene to end
Evilhomer Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I believe flashys mods, advanced needs and crime and punishment both have std mechanics in them, do you have either of those installed?.
DocClox Posted May 28, 2022 Author Posted May 28, 2022 Sounds like FPER then, since that's the one I'm using. Found the option in the MCM - now disabled. Thanks for the help!
