Confused about Bodies :(

Hello, 

So I am confused about the difference between Unp/Uunp/Bnhup/etc....

Are they all completely different? Do mods need to be labeled for (specifically) the one I download?

It's not that complicated.

After choosing a body that suits your needs, (if you want collision and jiggle jiggle go Bhunp or cbbe 3ba) If just a naked body choose the one with the most bodyslide conversions.

 

Talking bodyslide:
Cloths need to have a bodyslide file so you can build them to your chosen or selfmade bodyshape. Yes it's better to select ones specifically made for your body but the only real issue you might have if you don't do that is, if you have cloths that let the lower body naked.  You see, if i select an UNP Item for my 3ba body and it's just a Bra, the whole body of the npc gets replaced with an UNP One. Which means no collision for that one until she drops the bra. If i chose an 3ba item i do still have the same body with its benefits.

There are 2 major lines.

UNP and CBBE

So everything what has got an "U" in the name is a derivate of UNP body and will be compatble (skin, clothing)

Rest will be CBBE combatible.

I don't take into account the not so wide spread bodies, like COCO.

I come across ALOt of mods that are for Uxxx ...or if it is converted to cbbe/3ba i need the original anyway usually. 
So I was considering just going to the source and using the other body. I just was confused on what one was what..

There is Touched by Dibella which I suppose is CBBE based, uses same textures...At least for SkyrimSE in SkyrimLE it was UNP.

 

TBD basically offers a suite of sliders for larger type bodies that offer muscle and large breast, though it can offer a slim body it requires using a different normal map to make slim builds look their best.

TBD is actually Atomic Beauty also in Fo4, which I built a whole slew of around a 100 outfit packs bodyslides for in Atomic Beauty IKAROS Android race for also offered on the LL.

 

Of course its my opinion that its a really hot, cool body.

In SkyrimSE there is Obody Standalone which is a mod that allows the game to randomly apply body presets to all male and female characters provided you have the presets built and morphs made for male and female, still its really awesome seeing a wide range of body types in SkyrimSE.

 

SkyrimLE mostly just offered UUNP and CBBE, but now there is BHUNP for SkyrimLE and SkyrimSE.

 

SkyrimSE has UUNP, CBBE, CBA, CBA+, TBD, and CACO

I think the male body is called Samson, not offered here on LL or Nexus though.

 

I think most end users will likely go with CBA or CBA+ but you might want to look around, try a few out in game before settling in on 1.

Its also a matter of taste, they are shaped different. I started with CBBE, gave UNP a shot and never looked back.

stealing a mesh to go with your stolen daz assets does not a "new" anything make.
