Kiba_M Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I've been struggling with this issue for hours now. For some reason I can freely swap between presets on bodyslide perfectly fine such as CBBE Athelic, CBBE Curvy, CBBE petite etc, they all work perfectly fine when I load up the game, but if I attempt to make a custom preset by modifying any of them and saving them as a custom preset, then using that file as a build, nothing happens. It simply uses whatever previous preset I had been using. To clarify, the steps I am doing are: 1: select preset 2: fiddle with sliders to make an obvious change 3: save as.. custompreset 4: click build 5: launch game I have no idea what could be going wrong. The builds are clearly going to the right place since I can swap out the premade presets. The only other option I can think to do is just try to modify one of the presets and save over it, but if someone else has a solution I'd really appreciate it. Edit: Modifying a premade preset doesn't work either.
IBAGadget Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Are you building your outfits to the customized preset? Are you then building the required body to the preset? A preset is just a bunch of slider positions. if you don't actually build the body itself.... In the attached screenshot, my custom preset is in the bottom box, and the body that I want to use is in the top box. If I didn't build this 'outfit' my character wouldn't have this body, and would instead use the vanilla body. or whatever body I had previously built.
shrtjsrtj Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Do you see the changes in the Preview window when you use the sliders? Are you changing both low weight and high weight?
Kiba_M Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 So, what I am doing is - Select CBBE body as the Outfit/Body - Select any preset, let's try CBBE Oppai - Crank up sliders to ridiculous levels to test if it works on both high and low weight at the same levels, showing clearly on the preview - Click save as, saving it as oppai custom - Make sure the output path box is checked - Click build, successfully processed. - Click batch build, select all, build, all sets processed successfully. - Close Bodyslide, launch game. Okay...that strangely worked that time. Does low weight have to be the exact same? I think that is the only thing I did differently that time. Now doing the exact same process, but with CBBE Body Physics. That worked... I have no idea what I did differently this time. The only thing I can think of is that previously I just left the low weight at whatever it was by default.

You need to tweak both low and high weights, the game uses them to show slight differences between actors based on their weight (the vanilla slider).

What he said. I simplify matters by making low and high sliders exactly the same. I don't get the variability in all the women in the game, but it does mean that my character comes out looking like I want it to, as well as my sexy followers - I don't wind up having what should otherwise be a sexy follower (cough, Serana, cough) having tiny tits and a huge ass

You need not choose to have double Fs (100) and emaciated A-cups (0). Mine vary much like *most healthy women, about a 25-30 lbs spread between their "18 year old body" and their ~35ish year old body
