SexLab STD mod and other whorin' consequences?

Recommended Posts

So it's all well and good that I can go whoring about to make some extra gold, but I like it when there's consequences for my whorin' about.  The two things I can think of that would happen...

1) STDs - obviously.  The vanilla skyrim diseases aren't really much of a big deal, especially with an alter always within arms reach, however if combined with the mod Realistic Needs and Diseases, which makes diseases rather crippling and makes alters no longer cure them, it would make every sexual encounter a risk! ( also, makes ya feel nice and dirty... aaaaw yeah )

2) Reputation - This seems like it was easier to do with Oblivion, where you could lower your disposition with residents of a town where you whore about too much.  Not sure how it might be implemented in skyrim though

3) Pregnancy - Getting pregnant happens... and there's already a mod for that so that's covered.

4) Assassins! - Okay this one's kind of a reach, but I always thought it'd be neat if there was a mod where dark brotherhood assassins try to seduce you so they can kill you during the sex.  Sort of like that sex thievery murder mod, but used on you by a sneaky npc.

Some ideas.  If there's any mods that do these things, please let me know!  If one of you loverslab geniuses just got your genius inspired by this post.... yay! :D

STDs would be cool.

As for 'reputation,' Bethesda oddly removed any reputation/infamy/fame system from Skyrim, so I'm not really sure how that would work.  Perhaps a debuff to one's Speechcraft?

That's an interesting idea actually.  A debuff that is hold specific and that stacks.  So say you're in whiterun and you go on a spree banging everyone left and right, eventually you would have several stacks of the debuff which would have a very negative impact on your social abilities due to you having a reputation with the locals.

- It would negatively impact your persuasion checks, since the locals don't respect you.  If you get too many stacks, then your reputation could become bad enough that you would fail the persuasion checks that some mods require for you to even get laid, simulating the fact that everyone in town think you're a diseased filth bag and nobody wants to sleep with you anymore.

- It would effect persuasion checks on npcs of the same gender as you even more; if you're known to be a loose woman, then the local women don't trust you since they think you're trying to sleep with their mens, and if you're known as a guy who beds everything with two legs and a hole then all the local gents don't trust you since they they think you're trying to bed their women.

- If you do it too much, it could cause those of the same gender as you to have a chance to become hostile when you try to talk to them.  Would be neat if wives, husbands, and perhaps even family members could have their chance raised if you've been with one of their loved ones.

- Merchants of the same gender as you could even raise their prices, for the same reasons as above.

So if you roll into a town and start sleeping with everyone, there's a fairly realistic consequence to it.  Nobody respects the town whore, everyone the same gender doesn't trust the town whore and wants to make life difficult for them, and eventually someone's gonna flip out and wanna hit you cause they think/know that you slept with their man/woman.

Another neat thing would be if the mod could somehow detect how many people see you engaging in the act, and give additional stacks depending on how many npcs see you.  If it's just you and the npc you're doin' it with, then you only get one stack.  On the other hand, if you start going at it in front of a crowded tavern, you'll get a bunch of stacks at once for being such a shameless little tart.

The stacks would slowly go away over time.  If you had a little too much fun, it might take a week for the town to forget.  However, if you basically slept with half the town in one night, that's a story they're gonna be telling for a while!

Wow...put that way, that actually sounds really cool.

Consquences?! In MY Dragonporn?!...

/hentai

In all seriousness though, if someone could implement the whole "negative reputation" idea without breaking the speechcraft tree or worse, that would be an insanely cool idea indeed. Hopefully it could be turned off as well, for characters that are designed to be infallible sex gods/goddesses.

And hey, there's some potentially dangerous possibilities too... what if "too much" leads townspeople on a crusade to "Burn the Bitch"... :P

Pregnancy is sort of STD coz male sperm act like a virus, injecting itself into a female ovum to force it to reproduce its own DNA. Not to mention that this unholy union creates a parsitic fetus wich nourishes on its host and forces it to eat more and more food to grow inside until it burst out, grow adult and infect other females (if male). Isn't nature great? XD

Wow, aren't you full of love :)

Now, realise that I know absolutely nothing about modding/scripting/programming (it's a wonder that I manage to turn my computer on without major difficulties), but would a mod, that tracks which npc has which disease not soon become too unwieldy? Especially if the pc is whoring around all over Skyrim, infecting all and sundry?

How is disease handled in vanilla Skyrim? Do you simply have a random chance to become infected if you encounter a certain type of npc or monster, or does the game keep track of diseased agents?

The rep thing sounds awesome if it is at all possible, but any kind of social consequences for rampant whoring would be nice. Wouldn't that mod have to make a distinction between consensual sex and rape, or are mores in Skyrim medieval enough to just blame the victim?

Generally, npcs will have a chance of infecting you with their attacks, so no the game does not normally keep track of who has what disease.  I'm not sure that would necessarily even be necessary for the purposes of the mod; it could literally be as simple as a percentage chance each time you have sex to get a random disease.

You're correct to say that a mod that keeps track of who has what disease would be unwieldy and would end up causing a lot of extra script load.  It's also a question if all that extra stuff would even have any real use, since to get infected by all of those diseases you would end up having to have sex with a whole bunch of npcs, and then the outcome would be the same either way so might as well go with the more low profile method.

It might be interesting if you could use your own stds as a weapon, sleeping with npcs that you plan to fight later, infecting them, and then after you wait a while the diseases have crippled them and made them easier to kill. Maybe something where the NPCs will sleep longer/more often, making it easier to rob them or kill them in their sleep?

Would have some interesting possibilities if a mod came out where you could, say, approach bandits while naked and they wouldn't attack you, and then you could sex a bunch of them, get them infected, then go and wait for a while, and come back to a bunch of disease-addled bandits who make easy targets. This would be sort of a middle ground where the script doesn't keep track of all the npcs everywhere, and instead just temporarily gives a "disease perk" to infected npcs.

Of course, you yourself would have to be infected with the very same diseases, though if you have diseases that affect combat abilities, and you primarily use magic, then it could certainly work out to your benefit.

However, the kind of diseases I would be working with are the ones from the Realistic Needs and Diseases mod, which are quite a bit more devastating than vanilla diseases, so it might not actually be worth it to try this sort of "biological warfare" in that case.

That's also a reason I would want this mod to use vanilla diseases, rather than making new ones; or at least, use the vanilla diseases as well as new ones.

Could be even more interesting for vampires if they could be modified to have the ability to be carriers of diseases without actually succumbing to the effects themselves.

I stuck this into a spoiler tag thingy because it's basically a whole bunch of rambling :)

As to your second question, that's actually something I didn't even think of and would certainly be a consideration for the mod.  I think that rape should be handled according to your current reputation, or number of stacks.

- If you have a bad reputation, then there is a chance that the locals will not believe that you were raped.  As terrible as that sounds, it's actually fairly realistic, and is a consequence of being promiscuous.  I would implement this as an increasing chance, based on your current number of stacks, to get more stacks even if you are raped.  It wouldn't ever decrease your stacks of course, there would just be a chance that no additional stacks are gained.

- If you have a good reputation ( low or no stacks ) then there would be only a very slight chance to get more stacks when raped.  Why, you ask?  Because the guy who raped you might tell people it was consensual, and some people might believe him.  The chance for no additional stacks comes from the fact that the might deny it happened and say nothing about it at all.

- The rape happening in view of other npcs could affect this as well; the more npcs witness the act, the less the chance of getting stacks.  Eye witnesses make it hard for the rapist to lie about what happened.

I would like to imagine that the people of Skyrim view rape as a crime, for the most part.

It's likely they got rid of Fame and Infamy (reputation) for reasons other than what I'm about to mention, but it was incredibly awkward to have everyone hate you in Oblivion for one wrong doing that you (at times) don't even know what you did!

I did a wrong doing in the Shivering Isles once and somehow people in the Imperial City knew?

Although they probably could've easily implemented a reputation system in, but it might of not made it in in time

That problem could easily be solved in Skyrim by containing Fame/Infamy to each hold, which is what we are basically discussing here as applied to SexLab.

it is more like 'screw it, we dont have time it is 11/11/11, so we will just ditch this just like winterhold and windhelm'

i saw this mod that looked interesting maybe you should check it out and contact this mod author

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37031/?

i havnt tested this mod yet but it looks good because it does a fade to black effect so it should be able to hook into sex lab with a patch . dont know about modding but just throwing this out there as an idea to look at maybe you can borrow some ideas from it

You must have missed the thread where they have a patch for that mod that replaces the fade to black with a SexLab sex act.

At least people have actually made Winterhold better... Too bad for Windhelm

But yeah as the previous guy explained it would easily be possible if it wasn't *likely* dropped...
