Trykz Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 to trykz,  I'm not really a modder so i don't know to create followers.  There's no time like the present to learn  I really don't have the time for requests. Followers can easily be made from any of my races by anyone with even a moderate amount of modding experience. There are some pretty good tutorials on the Bethesda site. Many that go into quite a bit of detail. So I'd suggest starting there:  http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1343653-creation-kit-video-tutorials-merged/  Trykz
BruceWayne Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Looks pretty cool, Trykz. I'm slowly getting my feet wet with modeling, but I guess it'll take me quite some time to get to this level of quality (not only from this one). If ever... Â Let me know when there is something to download and I'll move this over in the download section or whatever you prefer. Â Cheers!

If ever...  Let me know when there is something to download and I'll move this over in the download section.  Cheers!  Thanks  This is just the [WIP] thread, so eventually I might need it closed. I add everything to my release thread in the Downloads section once it's completed, so I can give support for all my races in one place  The credit for the modeling on this really belongs to b3lisario though. It was his Hooves conversion that got me started on this waaaaay back when he released that mod. Basically, I made a bunch of edits to size up the calf, foot, and toe on the hoof mesh, and then focused the rest of the scaling I wanted into the skeleton the race uses, adjusting different scales for size and height up and down as necessary to get the desired look.  Right now I'm play testing this a bit more in-depth than my other races, due to it's highly specialized and restrictive qualities.  Needless to say, it suffers the same issues that b3lisario's Hooves mod does:  standard armors CANNOT be equipped, and boots are completely out of the question, as everything must be hung onto the body meshes directly. Any armor piece that uses either the body or boot slots, causes the hooves to disappear or the normal calf to protrude through them. I got pretty lucky with the Feather-kini. It went onto the body without issue, and fit with only a few minor adjustments, but I'm no armor modeler, so it's only 100% weight, and there's a tiny bit of clipping in a couple of spots. Nothing overly distracting, but someone else could very likely have done a much better job.  My hope is that this (and other race mods I have planned very similar to it) generate enough interest to entice some of the armor modelers to create addition armor sets for them. But for now, the best I can do on my own is include everything pictured with the race, and make it easy to acquire. So I made cloth, light, and heavy versions with recipes for all, and tempers for the light and heavy so they can be upgraded.  Trykz
BruceWayne Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Yeah, I just figured that out with your release thread, while browsing through this forum and seeing your other threads. I seriously need to brush up on my Skyrim who-is-who, what-is-what and what-is-where. Â Specialized custom races have always been difficult to make and use, as long as I remember. But I think no matter how difficult, they add some spice to the game. I wish I could help you with that problem, but I'm too much of a noob in this regard. Â I'm not sure what program you are using for your modeling purposes, but whenever I had (minor) clipping issues, I was able to fix them with the smooth function in Blender's sculpt mode. I guess every other program that has such a feature can do the trick as well. And it keeps the overall shape intact, if used with light settings, more or less depending on your poly count. Â Â
Trykz Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 White Faun released. Click my sig...... Â Â Trykz
xenic Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I finally got the Faun to work. Are the faun armors the only ones she can wear? When I put anything else on her she gains regular legs or shoes clipping into her feet. Here is what it looks like :Â Â Â Is this what it is supposed to be?

When I put anything else on her she gains regular legs or shoes clipping into her feet. Here is what it looks like : faun armor.jpgno armor.jpgwearing roughspun tunic.jpg   Is this what it is supposed to be?  Yes. The only armor this race can use (at this time), is the set I provided as part of the mod. Skyrim actually integrates the body into the torso armor itself. As do custom armors. Any torso armor needs to include the body so it can "swap in" the torso armor without making the body invisible.  However.....  I have managed to successfully separate the hooves from the body, and set the hooves up as a separate body part (feet). Meaning that armor modders can convert/create full custom armor sets for all 5 of the hooved bodies I've added to the new TCRA version I'm working on. I wish I could give a time frame for everything I have in the works right now, but work has been completely unyielding and is likely to be for at least a couple more weeks. I'm hoping to get a break from the out of town work after next week, at which time I hope to get everything finished up and released.  Trykz

I would rather wait for a great mod. Your mods are worth the wait. I saw your post for a Cow Race and I love this idea. Any chance the men would be minotaurs?Â
