Need help trying to install Lovers with PK

Hi there. My problem with Lovers with PK is that I am completely new to using mods in Oblivion. And I can´t find moron-proof instructions anywhere.

 

I have tried following the Install Quick Guide on this forum for 3 times now and I just end up having a game that doesnt start anymore. I am going to admit that I just don´t understand this Quick Guide or any of the complementary posts in that thread. I have read the ReadMe files of Lovers Resources V3, BUframework, OBSE and OBMM, but nothing works for me. I don´t like criticizing people who have been doing hard work for this forum, but as a naive newcomer this Quick Guide is like Chinese for me, even when trying to follow the individual ReadMes of the programs I am supposed to download.

 

The only thing I have been able to do succesfully is installing a female Eyecandy body mod with Oblivion Mod Manager. When following the Quick Guide for this mod, I feel that I just end up mixing folders and doing things I should not be doing. I guess that is why the game stops working.

 

Could someone please give me some easy instructions, for dummies? I don´t want to mod anything myself, I just want three or four plugins to work to enhance the game a bit. And without the help of more intelligent people, I don´t think I am ever going to make Lovers with PK run on my computer.

Once you understand the basics then you can move up to things like LPK.

Hello, I am having similar problems to aloe king. I was able to successfully install several mods such as HGEC EyeCandyBody and other texture/item replacer mods, but I'm having trouble making heads or tails of LPK. I followed the Quick Guide perfectly, to the best of my knowledge, twice. The first time there was no evidence of LPK working, and there were also some errors, particularly with eyes. I removed all mods, uninstalled, and reinstalled Oblivion in order to fix this. I am currently running vanilla Oblivion GOTY addition with the following mods and utilities:

OBSE v0020

BUFramework

Pluggy V132

OBMM

Resource Pack Version 3

Revision 96

 

All correctly installed to the best of my knowledge.

 

Now, with all of those, I still had no evidence of any in-game changes. Upon further reading I discovered that I also needed to install additional plug-ins, so I have tried:

Lover's Mod Pack

and

Lovers Prostitutes

 

Again, no signs of an changes. In the description of the prostitutes mod it said something about a Brothel added in the Anvil Docks. After searching the area I found no such building, and the existing inns had nothing out of the ordinary.

That is all of the information I can think to give regarding my problem. Other than the above listed mods, Oblivion is vanilla GOTY Steam version. My assumption is that either LPK does not work on Steam version of Oblivion (Community In-Game IS ON), or, more likely, I messed up the load order, which is something I do not entirely understand yet. Can anyone be of assistance? If somebody can instruct me on how to post my load order I will do so, as I believe this is mos likely the issue.

I am aware that this is incorrect, could somebody help me figure out the correct order? I am currently viewing the sample order now, bu it looks like some of these are missing from that list. I will report back if I end up solving my own problem.

But first use BOSS to sort your load order, then order the mods that are out of place by hand. For information about BOSS look over the link in my sig, you'll properly find information in gregathit's link, too.

 

As you have correctly read the base Lovers mod do nothing on their own. Two of the properly most commonly used Lovers plugins:

Lovers works with the Steam version though I have the retail version and cannot give you help regarding it, you may want to look at some other help threads in this sub-forum because questions regarding Steam come up somewhat frequently.

EDIT 2: IT WORKS!!! I was able to fix my load order as well as install an .esp file I was missing. I also restarted steam, as I read somewhere that you need to restart steam in order for OBSE to work properly.

 

Hopefully the OP tries some of this stuff and it works. Thank you everyone for your help, and best of luck OP! I'm off to pretty up my game again.

I have reinstalled Oblivion, followed the Quick Guide and used the Mod Manager to activate Lovers with PK, the FSE, and to try and get a few results, Resource 2.7, Lovers Adult Play Plus and WappyOne Rapes. I have installed BOSS as well and I have also run it. 

 

This time the game ran well, but nothing had changed, for example I had no 'Rape Settings - Master' Lesser Ability. Then I tried to install a few other plugins, LoversOrgy and LoversCalm, but activating any of these would give me the same problem as last time: the game just crashes immediately after trying to run obse loader or oblivion.exe. I fixed this every time by deactiving all plugins in the Mod Manager. Then I would delete the newest plugin, for example LoversCalm, and activate the rest. The game runs but I don´t think Lovers PK is working at all.

 

This is my current load order (I ran BOSS but I myself have no clue what the load order should be like, I don´t understand the example load order on this forum either)

So, Reiner Abend, how did you find out which .esp file was missing?

Your load order looks ok.

You can't use LoversCalm without LoversCreatures !!!

Why did you have a LoversFSE.esp ? You're not using the latest LoversPK version?

I tried to install LoversCreatures too, but same issue: screen turns black for a second and then the game stops working. This seems to happen when I try to add new plug ins.

 

I guess I downloaded Resource (this includes LoversFSE.esp) 2.7 instead of 3, could that be the problem? Trying to replace it now

ANY version of the Lovers Resource pack is fine.  The only differences is in the human to human animations.

 

Now the REAL difference is that Lovers Creatures 2.0 REQUIRES the rev96v2 from the Lovers Base Pack. 

Obviously the Animated Penis base pack requires the AP resource pack and so forth.
