I'm not sure this would work fine. If for example the gun is on your tight, and you move it slightly on the right to make it closer to the leg, it will be moved to the right even when you later equip it on your hands. The only way I could think to tweak that position, except that modifying animations, would be using a script that translates the weapon node in two different positions when the weapon is equipped and when the weapon is unequipped. (Also I do remember NVSR was causing issues specifically with Win 10, but after tweaking its inis it was working fine, however NVTF was proved working better)

I just assumed FNV worked like Skyrim and later games with regard to weapons placed on the body using another .nif. Never really looked at it tbh. And thanks for the info about NVSR and the other.
TheWilloughbian Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 I just got Bodyslide/Outfit studio installed yesterday. I'll have to have a peek at this. There's a lot of little differences between modding Fallout and Skyrim it would seem.
Guest Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Alton IL - Huge World and Quest Mod Quo Vagis I suggest also getting the other addons by Belthan. He's also got a YT channel. I enjoy his gameplay content.

So, my focus has been more on graphical/animation improvements and getting a feel for how MO2 functions. Personally, I think a manual install of TTW would be more stable, but all in all it does seems to run pretty well, and I haven't run into anything broken as far as quests go. I still might try to get a manual build of it going though just for the exercise of doing it, plus the bonus of it making certain things easier from a modding perspective. Not that this thread was really meant to be about MO2, but I did learn a lesson about backing up the load order and plugins txt files. One thing I have been looking for is a way to improve LOD. I really haven't been able to figure out how edit ini files in MO2 without it breaking things and documentation on the functions is somewhat sparse.
AWP3RATOR Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 A bit late to the party, but here is a FONV/TTW texture guide dealing also with LOD. This is not the end-all-be-all, it's what the author liked, but the LOD generation documentation is solid. https://salamand3r.fail/texture-guide

I can confirm that I'm about 10hr into a playthrough of TTW (first time for me) after following the below 2 guides and adding some additional mods on top and.... so far so good. I have had no crashes, very stable, and the game looks/plays great. Wasteland Survival Guide: https://audixas.github.io/Wasteland-Survival-Guide/index.html Salamander's Texture Guide: https://salamand3r.fail/texture-guide I did not generate LOD at all and my game is looking great/playing very well. If you follow Salamander's guide (as I did) you should not need to manually generate new LODs as many of the mods come with what is required, etc. that they mention. Good luck!
